I thought this would be the answer to my problems...not so much. It does make ice, and rather quickly at that. It seems to work as designed. My problem is that it drops a handful of tiny cubes into a room-temperature basket and continues to make ice. The recently dumped cubes start to melt immediately and it doesn't really ever fill up with viable cubes. My 'work around' is to use it in advance of needing ice at a time that I'm in the room with the unit. As soon as it drops the cubes, I put them into the freezer. So you have to ask yourself, is that better than making a few trays like in the old days????

So....it's difficult to review something that you have no idea if it does what it is supposed to do! You put your phone in, the light goes on - 10 minutes later the light goes off. Phone looks the same, feels the same, smells the same, and it's the same temperature. Phone goes in with or without case, turned on or powered off, charged or charging. So the BIG question is, am I glad I have it - answer YES.

I expected a lot better quality from this player. It has locked up twice in the two evenings I have used it. Can't even cycle off the power without unplugging the unit. Very disappointed. Having to move a 75" TV to reset this unit is a pain. Video quality is great, along with the audio. Maybe its a defective unit. I'll give it a couple of more tries before returning the unit. We have two other SONY unit from WALMART that have worked flawlessly for over three years.

Yes, it will support atmos, you have to make sure that you have the settings right...BD Secondary Output OFF, and Downmix Surround. I had to change these settings in the AUDIO menu, and now my Denon Amp says DOLBY ATMOS when appropriate.

Josh, I understand your comment "So... give it the number of stars for what it is, a 2.1 system, not a surround system. If it's a great 2.1 system, give it five stars. If you want a surround system, pony up the bucks!" I agree with your comment, HOWEVER, the 2.1 product description states "provides an increased level of immersion, no matter the content, room size or shape, creating floor-to-ceiling virtualized 3D sound that transforms a sci-fi film into an intergalactic adventure, or music into a live concert". It does not. Hence four stars for falling short of the promised virtualized 3D sound. It does do a great job of boosting audio levels and improve clarity with excellent quality (for the price). Folks need to know if there is a reason to consider the 5.1 when, from the printed description the 2.1 sounds just as enticing. I agree, it is not the same, and that is what I pointed out. My home system is the Denon Denon AVR-8500H 13.2-channel, 11 B&W speakers and 2 JL Audio 750w subs. The system is outstanding in every respect, and delivers more than promised...serious bucks were ponied. I rely on these ratings when I'm trying to decide between models, and my review might help someone with less experience looking for help.

I had the same issue, my Firestick (attached to a Sharp TV) from the bedroom turned on the Insignia Fire TV in the kitchen. I was able to pair the bedroom Firestick to the Sharp TV and it no longer affects the Insignia Fire TV in the kitchen.

What is difference between UBP-X700 vs X800?
I spent days on the internet researching that question! I think the 800 has high res audio, and the 700 does not. The 800 is much heavier and larger and gives the outward impression of a more premium unit. That being said, I have had two 800's, one was quirky and skipped/froze often (Geek squad was unable to remedy that situation) so I bought another 800 that has been trouble free. I then added a 700 to a different room and have been equally pleased with that unit as well. My advice would be to go with the cheaper unit unless you have a "state of the art" sound system.

Cfm for each speed? How long does it take to purify a room of 320sq(how many times per hour)
Don't know the answer to your question, BUT....the unit senses the impurities in the air and then adjusts its speed accordingly to remediate the situation. One of our units is in the kitchen/dining area and usually reads number 007 and fluctuates a little up and down - unless of course you fry something, and then it spikes for awhile and eventually comes back down. The one in the bedroom stays around 001-003 and never really changes. We leave them both on all the time and have esperienced significant allergy relief.

Just purchased this system and have hooked everything up but the wireless speakers do not have any sound coming from them. I have double checked the wires and it shows it is paired with the tv and sound bar. Help what did I miss?

I know the smaller number on the display is the ppm, what is the bigger number on the display
The smaller number (PPM) is letting you know that it is reporting at 2.5PPM and that number does not change. The larger number is the sensor and tells you the current air quality - the lower the number the less 'stuff' the machine is sensing and removing. The number goes higher and so does the fan as it senses more impurities. Blow some smoke or vape at it and see what happens!
