The art of movie cases has taken a down turn since the rise of the digital giant that is streaming media; the vanilla case for Venom LTBC is a great example of this, it’s bland and boring, I spring for these Steelbook when I can. It does nothing for the resale value of the film but as a collector I enjoy owning something that feels more premium and better thought out than what Sony has Offered us with the OG case and cover. This Steelbook features an artists rendition of a fight scene between the title character and main antagonist/also title character I guess. The construction is typical alongside other Steelbooks Best Buy has put out, the metal is low quality and damages/dents If dropped, but it’s still off a higher strength than a plastic case. The spine art is kind of small and difficult to read but this isn’ta problem for me at all, and could only see that causing issue of trying to identify from a distance. growing up and collecting movies, I’m so happy for these Steelbooks, they are a nice and cost effective way to spruce up your collection and own something special to commemorate your enjoyment of a movie even if you don’t have the time to pull it down and watch it once a week

The movie aside, this Steelbook edition is a really cool addition to any collectors catalogue, the transparent slip cover creates a cool effect that interacts with the cover art of the Steelbook itself, the surface of the case is gently matted and does well to keep fingerprints at bay, Steelbook owners will know that dents are possible and likely, there is no difference here. The media plays well on my PS5 and contains the film as well as some interesting bonus features that made this an easy purchase for me, if you’re a fan of the 2000 film and have a flair for the curb appeal of your movie shelf I think this is the edition of the movie for you.

Elden Ring is Probably the closest thing to a “perfect” open world game available on the market today. Elden Ring is the latest From Soft release and it plays much like their past Soulsborne series; use varied weaponry and minimal clues to traverse the environment and kill difficulty enemies, piecing together the lore using item descriptions, context clues and NPC dialogue. It’s a formula that works and is made better by the new open world layout of the map. From the very minute you start the game you are able to travel in any direction and do basically whatever you want. There is just enough guidance to point you where you need to go but it is loose enough that you can decide to face challenges your way and in the order in which you’d prefer. The difficulty of the game is notorious but never feels unfair. As for performance, gaming has never looked and felt better and the PS5 does a great job keeping up with the fluid movements of the games characters and environments. Downsides to me are no special implementations of Dualsense haptics or adaptive triggers, but that may be a lot to ask of a third party multi platform game; also the lack of a quest journal, while understandable, makes the game less than manageable If you take a few days off to get some sunshine (not that you’ll want to). Overall I’m it’sa 4.5/5 for me, leaning towards a 5. New players will benefit from using the new AI and Co-Op options and OG Souls heads will enjoy creating builds that are cool and competitive.

Ordered the phone February 15, for store pickup on release Feb 25; now it is March 19 and I have had zero emails from bestbuy (not even one telling me my device has been delayed). I was told by an agent on Monday I’d get a gift card to compensate for the long delay then by another yesterday that I wouldn’t, which is fine, I wasn’t after a gift card; but 1) it’s frustrating that Best Buy phone agents can’t get their stuff together enough to not have mistakes like that happen and 2) I have been given no date, estimate, timeline, anything that would let me know when I’m going to recieve my phone and now I can’t cancel because I was given the incentive credit when I originally purchased and spent it on accessories for the phone which are now collecting dust on my shelf. Worst part is the phone is available for shipping and has been the past week but still no update on mine; feels like being punished for pre ordering and Best Buy has done absolutely nothing to atone or even just to explain away the horrible mishandling of these pre-orders
