Not Uncharted territory, but still good

If you don’t know, this game was originally Uncharted 4 DLC. Even though there’s no Nate, it’s surprisingly fun and Chloe and Nadine work well together. There’s even a nice joke about the crate puzzles. The villain is one-dimensional, and story starts off slow, but everything else is good to great: the graphics, the gameplay, and the puzzles. Definitely a good price for any fan of Uncharted!

This is an enjoyable and even emotional series from the creators of Parks and Rec and The Office. It’s not as good as Parks and Rec, but if you like those shows, you’ll like this one. Now, I’m not so sure that the packaging is as “good” as the show. Maybe it’s just the copy I received, but the case wasn’t as sturdy as I would have liked. Still worth buying if you are a fan!

I’m quite satisfied with my new laptop overall. Be warned that it doesn’t come with Microsoft Office (unless you purchase it yourself). Very handy if you want to do some writing, work, or watch a show, unplugged for a little bit. It has a pretty good battery life, too. These movies are great; you’ve already made up your mind about what you think about them within the past 20 years. As for the 4K remaster, if you have the right equipment to enjoy the home theater experience, the audio and video upgrade is wonderful. The areas where the CGI looked spotty in previous releases (the Ents, for instance) are now clearer, and it blends better with the surroundings. Gone is the tint from the Blu-rays as well. I have few issues with it, enjoyed rewatching them in the sharper resolution, and picking up on more of the dialogue. The effects/films are still made with early-2000s technology, so it’s not a game-changer, but as mentioned the image is improved.

If you are a fan of this show, then this is the very best way to watch it: on DVD, with TONS of extras, including alternate and deleted scenes, commentaries, etc. The miniseries 24: Live Another Day is even included, which was a better finale than the final season. If you love action, suspense, high stakes, and unpredictable storytelling, you’ll love this show. It DOES take a dip in quality after the first five seasons, but it happens with any long-running series.
