This is a great movie trilogy, but the Blu-Ray transfer is only good. The transition between frame rates during the movie when it changes from IMAX scene to “regular” again is a bit jarring. But features are great, and the remaster is quite good, holds up well.

James Cameron’s “Aliens” is the rare sequel that not only improves upon the original in every way, but could be a standalone film. It’s definitely a sci-fi classic, with lots more action and horror elements from the original. Sigourney Weaver, Bill Paxton, and more are outstanding, but the story and production values are amazing. This edition includes many special features, including artwork and more that helps understand Cameron’s thought process. Well worth it, all things considered!

For nearly a decade, Everybody Loves Raymond, starring Ray Romano as a loving -- if occasionally lazy -- husband and father living across from his nosy mother, father, and brother, was a hit for CBS, and respected for its traditional approach to the sitcom. This definitive box set contains every episode of the program that was produced.

When the creators of “Breaking Bad” announced that they were creating a spin-off prequel series focusing on none other than Saul Goodman, I was as skeptical as anyone. This should not have worked, but actor/producer Bob Odenkirk is brilliant, so talented in a comedic and more dramatic role. His backstory is arguably more fascinating than Walter White’s, and the editing has been improved since the original show. I could go on about the fantastic performances, writing, but I won’t. Instead, I want to say that this is quite well-packaged, even though I feel the discs don’t need to be stacked on top of each other. If you’re a fan of Breaking Bad, or just great drama, you should check this out!
