First off: this film is a masterpiece, goes without saying. Many filmmakers have tried and failed to replicate it over the years, but Jaws shows that you don’t need a big alien threatening the galaxy to create perfect stakes, a great villain, and a satisfying and thrilling showdown between it and characters you care about, instead of stereotypes. Next, if you love this classic, what better way to enjoy it than with this beautiful steelbook case?

Seinfeld is one of those series that I don’t feel like gets enough praise. It’s honestly one of the funniest, quirkiest shows I’ve ever seen, despite the earlier seasons and some awkward episodes. But this was when the series was just getting off of its hot streak of the middle seasons, so it’s still a lot of fun, even though it could be better. The DVD enhances the experience, with behind-the-scenes and inside looks. Parks and Rec, The Office, and other sitcoms are plenty entertaining in their own right, but this one is particularly enjoyable, especially the cast.

Two decades later, and it’s still one of his most amazing works, ingenious, diabolically brilliant, and one you should go into blind! Requires close attention to every detail, and multiple viewings! First, I would like to state the obvious: Schindler's List is a cinematic achievement, perhaps Spielberg's best film to date. The Blu-ray transfer by Spielberg himself is seamless, and the colors all stand out in clear Hi-Def. The bonus features included are well worth your time, with testimonies from "Schindler's Jews", and it's interwoven with actual footage, making it perhaps more powerful than the film. Also included is a wonderful 25th reunion of Spielberg and the main cast, as they talk about the making of the film. One of the most important films ever made, but only for mature audiences, and certainly will not be for everyone.

Based on the horrific true events, this series is both important and powerful. It pulls absolutely no punches when it comes to recreating this terrible catastrophe, and so I would recommend it only for mature teens and adults. Thankfully, it is not sensationalized in its depiction of these harrowing events, and instead shows us what really happened. As one would expect, it is embellished a bit, but not too much; I was surprised at how much I saw in the docudrama was based in reality! Well-acted, well-written, with phenomenal production value.

This is a fun way to spend 2 hrs of your time. Shazam! wears its heart on its sleeve, and it can be really enjoyable. Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer are great together. But at least 20 mins could have been cut from the movie (specifically, the hero/villain fights tend to get a bit tedious), and it would not have suffered. Still, a good movie!

You can’t fight change...

RDR2 is a game not everyone will react to the same way. Its MASSIVE, incredibly detailed open world and gorgeous graphics are marvelous. It can either be played on its own, or as a prequel to the OG. Those who rode with John Marston in the first one should appreciate this game. But not every story thread feels organic, and one would think that after eight years, Rockstar would have improved some areas, especially the combat system and the highly sensitive wanted system. Be warned that if you are not the patient type, RDR2 will start feeling tedious fast due to some of the camp chores and mundane tasks like bonding with your horse or maintaining your weight (necessary though they may be). The controls can also be consistently frustrating; I was knocked off my horse constantly...or I would punch someone (or my steed) while trying to interact with them! A good game, but a flawed masterpiece.

Blade Runner was (and still is) a masterpiece on almost every level (the Director’s Cut is the way to go). Now, years later, we have a story that is almost as good as the original (and in some ways complements it, while being very much its own story). Director Denis Villeneuve is a masterful director, and Blade Runner 2049 is a piece of technical wizardry! It’s a remarkable experience, one that is worth the nearly three-hour runtime!
