This funky release from the genre-bending anime series Samurai Champloo includes all 26 episodes of the show from the creator of Cowboy Bebop, following the story of an unlikely trio of misfits, who set off on a quest wandering the wilds of Feudal Japan on a quest to find a mysterious samurai - all interwoven with a decidedly modern sense of humor, and a recurring hip-hop theme.

In this second fun family frightfest inspired by the R.L. Stine tales, ambitious young junk haulers Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and Sam (Caleel Harris) agree to clear out a creepy old house. Unfortunately, the first thing they uncrate is Slappy, the evil ventriloquist's dummy... and he's out to resurrect the monsters of the InchGoosebumpsInch mythos and terrorize the town! Can Stine (Jack Black) help bail the kids out? Madison Iseman, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Chris Parnell, Ken Jeong also star. 90 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

I was more impressed with the VFX than the story

Don’t get me wrong , the story felt more like a Goosebumps tale, a horror film for kids, but it was lacking in some key areas that would’ve made it as entertaining as the first. The lack of original cast members is noticeable in a way, it should’ve been treated as a completely separate story. The HDR helps the image quality on the 4K without betraying the VFX. I thought the VFX was well done. The performances were better than I expected.

Cute lil’ Amblin movie but missing a little more

What a beautiful 4K . The colors are rich, the movie benefits from the HDR. It’s an entertaining first chapter to a series but it has a feeling it needed more of a pitch, the movie feels like it starts in the last chapter. There’s plenty to be entertained by in act 1 and 2, but it feels like what it is really trying to say about itself starts in the last act. The cast is very good especially the kid.

Almost there but not quite it

There is a strong length of entertaining and well written edited and performed movie in there but within the same movie, there are some poor writing in key points that is super annoying . The visual effects appear to be from the same era as the original movie, not in a good nostalgic way. It we so close to being a sequel to the first movie, but misses its mark.

A 4k UHD without HDR

I thought the movie was an entertaining time waster. There are quite a few plot holes. the 4k looks find but would've benefited from having HDR. The sound was appropriate , not mind blowing.

4k picture quality was good. Great use of detail and color
HDR was strong.
Sound wasn't as immersive as i'd like but did good with what they have.
Story has a good set up but falls into cliche. good for popcorn

No love for this older 4k from the studio

I enjoyed watching this more , now , than when it first came out . But I feel it’s missing the caring eye to go over it. It’s very average in every way but it’s still the best it’s ever looked.

If you're a fan of these movies , this is the box to have. Best in color and detail, that you’ll see in comparison to previous releases , but as a 4k, was slightly disappointed . You’d think , because of the way Michael Bay , uses his cinematographers, that there would be a smoother marriage with 4k. I don’t think the sound was used to the best of its ability and HDR wasn’t taken advantage of
