Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a seemingly utopian but contained facility in the mid-21st century. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to the The Island, reportedly the last uncontaminated spot on the planet. - But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. He and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones whose only purpose is to provide spare parts for their original human counterparts. - Realizing it is only a matter of time before he is harvested, Lincoln makes a daring escape with a fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta. Pursued by the forces of the institute that once housed them, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a race for their lives to literally meet their makers.

I really like this movie alot. I remember watching it when it came out and I was in high school. I bought it recently as a cheaper add on purchase to skirt the 35$ Purchase for free shipping. Did not regret it. For being a Michael bay film it is surprisingly restrained. Pre transformers Bay. Pre Netflix Bay. And Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson do a good job in roles outside their norm. Good story. Good action. Good quotes for future use. …Dude.
Getting along with your in-laws can be tough. For newlywed Grace de Lomas (Samara Weaving), it's positively life-threatening. At a gathering with her husband's (Mark O'Brien) wealthy and offbeat family, Grace takes part in a game of hide-and-seek that turns into a desperate fight for survival when it becomes apparent that she's being hunted to the death by her new-and heavily armed-relatives. Laced with pitch-black humor, this quirky thriller also stars Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

I watched this on a recommendation from a co worker and it is now a Halloween staple with me. It is amazing. So darkly funny and the ending is one of the best I’ve seen in recent memory. I do wonder if Samara weaving gets cast based on her screaming power alone. It’s (I hate to use this) “iconic”. Watch it now. It’s freaking awesome.

I really don’t know why everyone was complaining. It wasn’t quite as awesome as the first one. And cheetah/ golden eagle Armor were slightly wasted. Hope to see more in the future. But Pedro pascal does a great job. Good moral lesson on wishes and consequences (which we as a society need right now). And gal gadot is still one of the best casting choices DC has made (along with Mamoa and Robbie). And not to mention this steelbook design is absolutely gorgeous.

Good movie. I liked it well enough. It’s mindless fun at this point driven by a always incredible Tom Hardy. And let’s be honest. That’s what this franchise is Now. Tom Hardy acting his heart out for a monster that looks really cool while eating heads. And I am totally ok with that. Giving 4 stars cause the steelbook was slightly uninspired. Front was great. Inside was fine. Back was just a blown up picture of the front. As if to just say: “holy cow look how cool all these symbiote tendrils look. Even when they mix with venom tongue and slime. WHOA!”

Great steelbook set. And this TRILOGY is absolutely must have addition to your classic collection. Just pretend the 4th one was Never made. And pray the 5th one they are making is better (but I doubt it). Sadly you can’t buy the 4K bundle without having to spend more money on even partially supporting the awful crystal skull nonsense. But if I can buy the MI series and just Avoid Mission Impossible 2. I can stomach the same here.

Let me be clear. I haven’t watched this movie yet. I Patiently waited for its pre order and I ordered it immediately. I actually almost tolerated the Josstice league. But it’s faults were clear. Unmistakable. And I love Zack Snyder and while I wasn’t on the streets campaigning for this release I was decidedly in the “release the Snyder cut” camp. I’ve only seen clips (waiting for my wife to want to watch this with me). And even the small clips prove this movie is a warranted success. And even small clips are miles better than what joss whedon decided to find in his toilet bowl and serve to us.

I was very surprised by this movie and I’ll say it’s probably the best transformers movie they ever done. I lined up and saw them all when they first came out. And by the time the third one rolled around everyone knew what these movies had become. This one showed a great direction of restraint and opted for more cartoon accurate autobot design. Which made me very happy. It was funny. Heartfelt. And still have great action sequences. MAKE MORE LIKE THIS ONE

As a big fan of Edgar Wright and his style this movie was already primed to be a good one. But given the fact I’m also a huge nerd I continue to find little things in this movie to please my pop culture/video game/weird humor, even after many repeat viewings.

Saw this in theaters (after a freaking long COVID wait) and it did not disappoint. It’s VERY rare to find a sequel as good as the original and John Krasinski pulled it off amazingly. Some of the world building elements don’t all quite mesh but it is still one of the best suspense ideas to ever be created. And the opening scene alone makes this movie, not to mention some amazingly done scenes and performances. Cilian Murphy continues to show his strengths and even though Emily Blunt is kind of sidelined in the sequel in favor of the kids growth, she is still a standout.

I have been waiting for a steelbook release of this for YEARS. I was blown away by Split and I instantly pre ordered the steelbook, and as such have been wanting the Unbreakable one to match (still waiting for a good looking Glass steelbook. Hint hint) But unbreakable is the best in the trilogy and has always been in my top 25 movies since it came out. The steelbook is beautiful and the 4K transfer is gorgeous too.
