Light coat of oil on first use seemed to season it for good and just wipe it with a damp or dry cloth, might not need oil at all, definitely don’t need cooking spray, would have given it a 5 but the plate to catch the overflow is an inch or 2 too small and also spills between the frame and the spill plate making it a little harder to clean, first one I’ve had so don’t know how it compares to other models,
