Great 90's Shlock

Basically a 1990's version of War of the Worlds - right down to the invisible shields, and a "virus" that stops them.
Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum are great, even further cementing Smith as an A-Lister.
It was awesome seeing this in the theater, and I've wanted to upgrade my DVD for sometime. The Steelbook case is nicely done as well.

One of the best movies of 2019

Clint Eastwood has been on a winning streak with the last couple movies he's done (The Mule, Gran Torino, American Sniper), and this just adds to his directorial highlights.
Based on the true story of the Atlanta bombings, the movies paints a solid picture of how the media effected Richard's life, including his mothers, after being blamed for the event.
Great performances all around; why Paul Walter Hauser wasn't nominated for an Oscar is beyond me, and Sam Rockwell is always a highlight. Kathy Bates, who plays Richard's mother, is a good as ever.

Out with a fizzle, not a bang.

As an action movie, it's fine, but the movie moves so fast that it seems there's hardly any weight to what's going on.
Disney should have just followed up to what was laid out from The Last Jedi, instead of retconning everything; it became very obvious they were trying to fix everything, and for the most part, it's a mess.
Highs: Kylo Ren, Emperor Palpatine (even though he was unnecessary for this), and Poe Dameron
Lows: Lando (no point for him to be in this, other than "Hey, it's Lando!), every new character (again, no point, other than toy production), unearned resolution.
I would recommend this if you want to complete the entire series.

Not as good as #2 (which is one of my favorite action movies), but this was MUCH better than I thought it was going to be. The upside to this movie is that's LEAN; not overblown with random scenes and shots like the last one.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are as great as ever, and with how the film ended, I would love to see the direction the franchise is headed.

Great sci-fi action flick

Bought this because I wanted to upgrade from my old dvd, and I glad I waited. The 4K transfer is awesome and the steelbook artwork is pretty cool.
The movie itself is a ton of fun and visually awesome; Ron Perlman is inspired as Hellboy.
Highly recommended if you are into unique creature and character designs.
