this was a required vent hose for the new installation of the dryer. The vent kit is very rigid and very wide. The only draw back to the item is that it makes the dryer stand really far from the wall.

really like the look and function of this dryer. Only draw back is that the door is mounted on the wrong side for my laundry room. I did not know that the door could be switched to the other side by the delivery people until after the fact. Otherwise its a really nice unit.
