Very pleased with well made, American made, Amana washing machine. It does a great job and is easy to operate. I like the feature that it automatically regulates the amount of water for the wash, when you have it on those special settings, so if I am doing a small, or medium wash, I don't have to decide which to set it for, it regulates it for me. It has a good size tub, that does a big wash and has settings for bulky items. Very pleased with its performance.

I got this washer installed yesterday and there is a pretty strong smell, almost like gasoline. I've run 4 washes and its still pretty strong, the smell does not transfer to the clothes thankfully. Is this something normal?

Does the washer come with the connecting water hose and drain hose?
The washer does come with the drain hose, but we were required to buy new stainless steel connecting water hoses. I believe they cost around 25 dollars. I'm glad to have the peace of mind of knowing that the hoses are new and strong and I don't have to worry about the old ones bursting, or leaking, so I feel it is well worth the money.
