This is my 5th Amazon Echo device, the first one of the 3rd generation Echo Spot (I have the Gen1 & Gen2 already). This one is slightly larger but smoother on the aesthetics with more rounded edges than previous models. The voice recognition is slightly improved in a "noisy" environment and functions perfectly for recognizing commands and executing scenes within the house.

I purchased these to augment my view of the house & yards from my Ring Doorbell. These installed extremely easy and setup (connecting to my wifi) was very easy through the Ring app. The spotlights are great for motion detection and they each can use TWO batteries for extended time from having to recharge. The camera is very clear and we have piece of mind knowing we can catch any activity at our house day or night.

This is probably the 2nd largest COD collector's edition ever. Great theme with the CE and it is nice to see the zombie mode getting the spotlight. This release though completely drops any single player campaign so I had to swipe 1 star from the rating but if you're into the multiple player and hopping on the battle royal bandwagon this year's Call of Duty is definitely in your wheelhouse.

The Anova makes cooking SO easy. Getting the perfect temperature on steaks is a no-brainer now, simply follow the temperature & time guidelines for how cooked you want the meat and it just simply does the rest. Cleanup is easy, simply rinse the Anova and I never have to worry about constantly checking the cook using a regular thermometer.

I have a blue tooth sound bar connected to my smart tv. Will the Echo Dot be able to turn the volume up and down instead of using my remote?
The Echo Dot will not actually adjust the speaker volume but it would adjust the volume from the Echo Dot itself thereby increasing the volume. This is the same way a phone paired to bluetooth in a car works, you can adjust the output of the phone using the volume and then adjust the overall volume in the car using the radio volume. However, I have the Fire TV Cube and since that includes a IR blaster it actually does adjust the volume of my speakers directly.
