Pretty Great Earbuds

I’ve been wearing these in the gym, around the house, walking the dog, and at work for two weeks now, and I’m actually enjoying them more and more as time passes. They fit well. I’ve had a few issues with the right one sliding out when I’m doing my stretching, but that’s typical for me. They both stay in through most exercises, and stay solidly in place when I’m doing chores around the house, walking the dog, or walking around the grocery store. The call quality is really great. On my end, the calls are clear and I love the SideTone feature (voice monitoring for calls). The people I’ve spoken to on the other end don’t even seem to notice that I’m using a headset, which is great. The controls are nice and simple. They are actual buttons on the earbuds, but they require pretty light touches, so I’m not jamming the earbuds in to use the controls. The HearThrough mode is awesome when I need to filter in outside sounds or talk to someone. When I’ve held conversations with people using HearThrough it sounds completely natural. It’s like I don’t even have earbuds in. When I turn the HearThrough off, the noise isolation is every bit as good as the ANC on Beats Studio headphones I previously owned, but without the weird pressure feeling on the ears.
The only things keeping me from giving these a full 5 stars are the app and overall sound quality. Now, both of these are actually really good. However, I’m comparing them to the Jaybird X3s that I’m replacing, and those earbuds have these beat in both categories. The Jaybird app and EQ controls are just far more extensive than the Jabra app. Again, if I didn’t have them to compare, I’d be much more impressed. For people who don’t want to spend a lot of time getting into detailed EQ settings, the Jabra app may actually be better.
The sound quality on these is great. It really is. I’m very pleased with it. But the sound quality on my Jaybird X3s is just a little better. Maybe it’s the difference between partially wireless and true wireless. I don’t really know since these are the first true wireless earbuds I’ve owned. I know a lot of reviews on these have said that they’re a little bass-heavy, but I don’t find that to be an issue at all. The bass can, however, make the sound a little muddy. I do find that I have to change the EQ settings based on the genre I’m listening to so that the bass doesn’t muddy things up. As I stated with the app, though, if I didn’t have the Jaybird to compare them to, I’d probably be giving these a full 5 stars.
My only real complaint is that the left earbud occasionally cuts out. This seems to be a common issue. I noticed it during my first week of use after wearing them for extended periods, but that seemed to be fixed with a firmware update. It started again yesterday, though. I was watching Narcos while riding the stationary bike at the gym, and if I turned my head to the right (placing my head between the right earbud and my phone), the left earbud would cut out. Hopefully this will be resolved with a future firmware update.
Even with the slight reduction in sound quality and app features, I’m extremely pleased with the purchase overall. It was a difficult decision to switch from Jaybird to Jabra, but the extra features that these offer (that the Jaybird Vistas don’t offer) were the deciding factor. If I was using these strictly for the gym, I probably would’ve stuck with Jaybird. Since I’m using these for so many different situations, however, I feel like I made the right decision.

This was apparently necessary for my dishwasher to work. My dishwasher works, so I suppose this thing works, too.

Warm up food in this 1.7 cu. ft. Maytag microwave. Its multiple-speed exhaust fan eliminates smoke and smells from your range, and enabling the control lockout option prevents you from accidentally pressing a button when it's not in use. This Maytag microwave is fingerprint-resistant to maintain its stainless steel finish.

I forgot how nice a good microwave actually is...

My last microwave still worked, but the plate spinner hadn’t worked since I got it over five years ago. It was a handed down microwave from a friend after he remodeled his kitchen, and it was much better than what I had previously. This is actually just the newer model of the one it was replacing, but it works so much better. Not only because the plate actually turns, but also because it has more power. The door also closes nice and smooth. I’ve overcooked a couple things, but only because I wasn’t adjusting my cook times for the fact that this thing just works better.

Maytag builds a strong dishwasher with Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel. The Long PowerDry option decreases humidity in the tub for 60% better drying without using rinse aid. We've also thrown in the most powerful dishwasher motor on the market, a 4-blade stainless steel chopper and third level rack. Plus, we back what we've built with a 10-year limited parts warranty.

So far, so good

This was delivered only five days ago, but I’m thrilled with it so far. I replaced a KitchenAid dishwasher that I’ve hated since about a month after it was delivered. That dishwasher is the reason I now but protection plans on every single thing I purchased, and the reason I’ll never buy a KitchenAid product again. After all of the issues we had, the top rack nearly completely came off and almost took my girlfriend’s finger with it. We replaced it with this Maytag dishwasher and are very pleased so far. It does a much better job cleaning, and it’s quieter and the slides on the rack are so much smoother.

Actually happy my old one broke...

I had an older Ninja blender for a few years, and one morning it vibrated its way right off the counter and shattered into about a hundred pieces. I bought this one the next day, and I’ve been extremely pleased. I actually like it a lot better than the old model. I found that when using the pitcher, the medium setting tends to get my smoothies the exact consistency that I like. I’ve also come to love the single-serve blender. I actually prefer using that because it somehow gets the perfect consistency much quicker than the pitcher does. Great deal overall!

Perfect for my needs

I do in home sales and email most contracts, but not everyone I work with has an email address. This is perfect to bring on the road with me and use when I need to actually print a contract. It also functions as a basic copier, which is nice. It’s nothing super fancy, but definitely worth the $50 I paid for it.

Improved my laptop

My laptop came with a 128 gig SSD and 1 TB hard drive. I used this SSD to replace that hard drive because it didn’t take much for the 128 gig SSD to fill up and I didn’t want to run online games off of a standard hard drive. Super happy with it. The speeds are great and my games all run super smooth.

Love it!

I purchased the controller to help speed up my movement in shooters. Using the paddles on the back instead of having to take my thumb off the thumb stick to press buttons was enough for me to appreciate this controller. The fact that I’m able to program separate profiles to have different layouts for different games makes it even better. The Xbox Accessories app to assign each button or paddle, adjust thumbstick sensitivity, and adjust trigger sensitivity is a nice added bonus. I had considered buying this controller a couple years ago, but didn’t feel justified spending that kind of money on a controller. Now that I have one, I wish I hadn’t put the purchase off as long as I did.

Impressice

For the size and price, the speaker quality is very impressive. Factor in all of the smart features, and that takes the device to another level. As much as I like it, if you’re looking for a small, cheap, quality speaker, there are far better options for you. JBL has some great waterproof, wireless speakers in the same price range.
If, however, you’re looking for a great sounding small speakers that also has very good smart features, then the Echo Dot is a great options. I haven’t used it much, as it was a gift (and I generally use my wireless JBL Flip 4), but I know the recipient of the gift has been happy.
Main reason I couldn’t give it five stars is that it isn’t wireless. I learned that when I didn’t have it plugged in and was trying to show someone one its cool tricks and nothing happened.

Good enough

I’m not overly impressed by this tablet. It’s very slow and laggy. I haven’t spent much time with it other than setting it up my girlfriend’s daughter. However, taking into account how cheap it is, I can’t go too low on the review. Everything that does work well on it is definitely worth the $50 it costs if you’re looking for an inexpensive, beginner’s tablet.
