It is a must have if you are going to use any of the MagSafe accessories. If you don’t use this case with MagSafe the magnetic attraction is too weak and does not hold well. If you are not using MagSafe you can use any case that you want. Just as some of the reviews have said it is a bit more slippery than other cases and the buttons are a bit harder to push than others but you get use to it. I have not had any of the cracking problems that some have complained about. I personally love the circle and dash on the back. It makes it distinctively Apple.

After you get used to it you will really appreciate the simplicity of this charger. Charges very fast no matter what the reviews say. One thing I will make a point of is if you are getting a case for the phone make sure you get the MagSafe case or comparable. You get a weak hold on the phone if you use a case without the magnetic ring. It will still charge but the hold will be weak.
