This is a decent upgrade to the blu ray release. Despite its minor flaws visually, occasional digital scrubbing and artificial grain applied (which doesn’t make sense for a movie that was already created on film and provides a natural layer of grain), this is still recommended but for the average person I would advise to wait for a sale. Overall I give this release 4 stars thanks to the steelbook design. The technical merits I would only give a 3 star rating but the movie is still a blast to watch.

I was a bit excited to load up this game only to find they "prettied" up the graphics for the maps/arenas of all the older titles of Halo. The gameplay is still the same, which for its day was decent but these days everything feels extremely dated. I had hoped that this would have been a true update in both graphics and gameplay but this just includes pretty skins placed over the old game. If they had been able to offer us the smoothness and gameplay of Halo 5 this would have been a winner, not to say that Halo 5 doesn't have its own shortcomings. I would not pay more than $10 for this title if you wish to play some of the older titles. I can't imagine anyone enjoying this title much had they not played the original Halo games in the eras when they were first released. 343 studios just doesn't seem to have their stuff together nor can they release a solid product like Bungie, the original authors of Halo could.

I purchased this at the suggestion of some friends who play together online with their original Xbox One systems. I elected to get the X console due to the color is black, I generally don't like systems to be white. Besides the cosmetics I feel that Microsoft finally did exceptionally well with the construction of this console, it should being their top of the line model. I have owned one of each iteration of the Xbox consoles, going back to the original Xbox. I sold my 360 5 years ago but decided to try the Xbox out again and feel they have come a long way. The dimensions of this system fit perfectly fine and sits comfortably on top of my PS4 console. Multiplayer is where the Xbox shines, which is honestly the sole reason why I purchased this as none of my friends own a PS4. Where this system falls short, however and which is why I deducted a star, is the main dashboard and submenus. It took me a while to get the hang of it all but I am left with the feeling that the dashboard system is a cluttered mess and clunky. The PS4 has a much nicer, and smoother, user interface and menu system. Overall between the two systems I will say the PS4 is the better overall system but the Xbox One X is no slouch by any means. While I would never pay the $499 list price, this late into this generation's life even $399 is a lot to pay for a console. Granted, this contains more advanced hardware than the Xbox One S but let's not be fooled here, we know that when the next generation Xbox is released the One X will be relegated to "last gen" status with every other model of Xbox. I would suggest anyone looking to purchase an Xbox console to save their money and consider the S model instead until the next gen is released. Sure the graphics "pop" a little more for the One X (ONLY if you have a quality 4K tv with HDR otherwise you really are wasting your money) but to me it isn't that much better than the standard Xbox. Suggestions I would give to Microsoft would be to start making their controllers with the rechargeable batteries like Sony makes for their controllers. My PS4 is 5 years old and those controllers still hold a charge and has been nice never having to worry about batteries. The other suggestion is I feel a little ripped off in that Microsoft could have offered a bit larger hard drive on the One X model. With the massive game updates you have to download and install, that hard drive fills up pretty quick.

As a long time player of the Halo series, I decided to try this game out with some friends after convincing me to purchase an Xbox One X console. The gameplay is much better than the previous editions of the title however the arenas/maps that are playable in the multiplayer rounds online leave a LOT to be desired. Once of the inviting factors I have always enjoyed with this title are the opportunities to play in vehicles, well the arenas/maps are so tight and confined it makes it difficult to truly enjoy the experience in a vehicle. In addition, these maps/arenas have a very generic feel to them. Mostly they look and feel they were built and designed by amateurs making their own custom maps on a previous generation console. To make matters worse, the matchmaking is horrible when you are partied up with friends as usually you or one of your friends will not be included in a game you are all selected to play. Apparently this has been one of the many bugs that has plagued this game since the beginning. Sometimes you are resorted to reload the game to get in or even reboot the console altogether. Pretty sad for a game 5 years old that the bugs still plague this game and are not being addressed. As a result I cannot recommend this game for anyone looking for a good multiplayer experience with friends.

I only gave this subwoofer 4 stars simply for the fact that my theater room needed a bit more "oomph" than what this sub could deliver but from the short time I had this sub I was amazed by the sound quality. From what I experienced in this 10" sub, it more than surpassed the quality from my older 12". I would recommend this sub to anyone that doesn't have a large, finished basement like we do. This would be perfect in a smaller setting, especially on a second level floor in which you would be able to feel the sound as well as hear it. It is constructed extremely well and you would be hard pressed to get any better performing sub in this class. MartinLogan delivers incredible quality in any of their speaker line. I would recommend this sub before they are gone as the manufacturer has discontinued this line for a newer model without the built in wireless feature this sub has.

You rarely get to hear about Popeye at all these days and especially with releases of any vintage cartoons dwindling these days it was a great surprise that Warner Brothers released their 4th volume of Popeye cartoons 10 years after the release of the 3rd volume. The restoration and presentation of these classic shorts are top notch leaving the family and collectors to fully enjoy these classics, which to my knowledge have ever been released on any home video format. There is hope that if sales are good enough on this volume, we'll not only see more releases of Popeye but also more of the classic cartoons like Tom & Jerry. Highly recommend this set.
