This is a must have blender if you're into smoothies. I have two other Oster blenders which are quite old and still working.
This newer blender is designed for smoothies. It runs as smooth as can be (no pun!). We have smoothies every day and each and every time, I'm amazed as to its performance.
One important note, when adding the ice, please add ice part and parcel, not all at once, otherwise, it will place too much pressure on the blades and it will stop blending. Just 6 cubes at a time.

Nothing is more important than our customers~ safety, which is why Best Buy has voluntarily recalled certain models of Insignia pressure cookers and inner cooker pots in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada. The recalled pressure cookers have incorrect volume markings on the inner pot. This can cause consumers to overfill the pot and hot food and liquids to be ejected when the pressure cooker is vented using the quick release method or opened while its contents are pressurized, posing a burn hazard to consumers. After cooking set time is over it keeps the content warm. Warm setting just keep goes on. How do I turn that setting off when I want to cool off food not keep it warm.

Can I saute with this?
There is a button on the face of the selection panel located at the middle bottom. It clearly is labeled: Sear/Saute. So, Go for It!
I haven't used my unit as of yet. I purchased it when the price was rock bottom, so it was an offer I couldn't refuse.
