The camera works as expected. It does allow short clips to be viewed and live viewing for short periods. You can not stream this camera. I knew this before buying it and meets my needs. This does require a cloud subscription for the Blink service after the 30 day trial unless you purchase the Sync Module 2 along with. The cost of the sync Module 2 is $34.99 at Bestbuy and must be purchased online. Disruptions in your internet connectivity may result in partial videos or periods with no video activity. It is not the fault of the device but you internet service. My favorite was the magic video. No car and in the middle of the clip the car magically appeared. I use this to capture video through living room window. It does not like it if the room is lit. You will get a reflection of your blinds or activity in the room versus outside. These cameras are not intended for my method of use as the sensors can't tell what is happening. If you are trying to view outside, I recommend the Outdoor waterproof ones which also work quite well. I will be soon hooking up the camera with the security light designed for the Blink cameras.

Great product but know this, the one outlet with the WEMO ID/HOMEKIT CODE is the very first one you must set up. If you do not it will not work. This makes life simpler especially when you can see the kids left the light on in another room but you just don't feel like getting up or can't get up for whatever reason. Like your cat who is too fat just got comfy and refuses to move.

can you connect a DVR and monitor to this camera for viewing? is there an app to view on your phone as well?
Video can be viewed in the blink app and videos are up to I think 60 seconds with a 10 second delay between videos. You do also have live view option but not continuous view like a standard security camera might. It is usually a bunch of short videos. I do not know about connection to dvr.

The motion flood lights for the blink cameras, is there a way to use just the light without the motion sensor and then go back to light and motion
On the light itself no. There may however, be programming accessible from the sync unit allowing changes to setting in the blink app. I have not yet set mine up yet so I will not know for sure till I do. Only thing holding me up is electrical conduit and out door wiring.

Can this be undermounted to the roof line of a house and still have the maneuverability of both the lights and camera.
I have not yet installed mine yet and looking at it, I would say maybe. Concerns I would have that maybe a call or email to Blink might be able to answer is, if the motion sensor would detect the appropriate area and if water got to the back side would it cause issues( it seams pretty water proof ).
The camera appears as though you could accurately aim it in that position. I am of course assuming you mean the back of the unit is attached to the under side of the soffit. Don’t know if this helps.

The Velcro strap is placed on your wrist with the button connection facing the underside of your wrist. If I order online and have it delivered by mail, is it still free installation? It promises free installation, but I'm nervous about getting it this way.
I would order this in store so that they can also schedule the installation and discuss what other options are required for the installation. An installation kit and wiring connector are often required at separate costs. The labor to install is free but not the kits and wiring harness.
