Mixed Home Delivery Experience

It was great to have our new washing machine delivered to our house, and the team that did the delivery and installation were excellent, friendly, and quick..
The not-so-excellent part of the home delivery was the 25 days that we had to wait to get our in-stock washing machine. That is a long time to go without a washer

We'll deliver, install and make sure your new washing machine is working. We'll level your washer, plug it in and attach the hoses. Additional charges may apply if not up to local codes or requirements.

Super Experience With Crew Doing Installation

The two young men who installed our new washing machine were very professional, experienced, and pleasant. They were neat, efficient, and quick, and were in and out in about 30 minutes. They unpacked and installed the machine in about 15 minutes, working well together. They also showed us the main features of our machine, and turned it on to verify that it worked well and was balanced. There was a slight delay in their arrival, but they contacted us a couple of times to keep us apprised of the situation and the projected time of arrival. We are very pleased with them and highly recommend them.
On a separate note, we were not so happy to have to wait almost a month after our purchase to get our washing machine that we were told was in stock. We purchased it on August 29, were told that the earliest possible delivery date was 10 days later, then were contacted the day before delivery to be notified that there was a delay and that the next earliest delivery date available was September 23. This has no bearing on the excellence and professionalism of the team that did our installation, but will be a factor when we make future purchases.

Stainless-Steel Fill Hose Worth the Price

We are very happy that we had the option of buying the 6" Stainless=Steel Washing Machine Fill Hose for our new washing machine. We had to replace a non-steel hose in the past, so do prefer this one. We purchased it Aug 29, 2020, so can't say much else about it yet.

Wash your clothes with this Amana top-load washer. The dual-action agitator rolls clothes throughout the entire wash basket while the 680 rpm spin cycle removes water from clothing to dry them faster, and the deep water wash option adds more water during the rinsing cycle. The Amana top-load washer has a porcelain tub to stop clothes from snagging.

Good Washer For the Price

We have had our Amana 3.5 cu. ft. washer for only 3 days, but so far it seems to work well. We purchased it on August 29, and it was delivered September 23-- a bit long to wait, but that is another matter that is not relevant to this review. We like that this is from an American company. It is a no-frills machine, which is expected for a machine that was just under $500. We also purchased the stainless-steel fill hose ($29), and are happy with that option. So far, we have done 5 loads, and the clothes have come out clean and almost dry after the fast final spin.
This is our first HE washer, so it has taken some adjusting to it. All wash cycles have only cold water rinses, and I seem to have little control over the amount of water used for a wash--the choices are "auto sensing" and "deep water wash". That being said, it does have 8 cycles to choose from , and I have only tried 3 so far. While the water filling the tub seems a little slow and there doesn't seem to be any vigorous agitation, compared to what we experienced with our 20-year-old Kenmore that finally gave out on us, the clothes and towels have come out clean and fresh.
The instructions advise about using only an HE detergent, using an accurate {lesser) amount of detergent, and cleaning the washer with affresh on a regular basis to keep it smelling fresh.
