I like the size and the inclusion of a rear camera. Viewing live video i have not figured out yet or how to permanently save a recording on the memory chip. My previous car had a Garmin Mini with one big button just for that purpose.

If you'd like to handle the installation yourself, there are some required parts you'll need. You can add them to your cart on the next screen.
If this is hardwired into my car, will this drain my battery? Will technicians hardwire into the ignition to prevent any battery drain?
There are two ways to install this: switched and unswitched. Switched means it will only power up when the ignition is on - and of course shut down when you turn the ignition off. There is an unswitched option that keeps the power on at all times, but does drain the battery, but at a very tiny rate. I have seen install kits that will also turn off the power to the cam if the battery’s voltage level drops below a certain point, like 11.7 volts I think.
