Almost perfect for my needs

So this will be a bit of a journey, but bear with me. Back in 07, I purchased a Sharp lc-52d62u, which at the time, was state of the art when most HD units were mini projo tubes. It was a great workhorse and survived up until the other day. Tried reset codes, but no avail. We purchased a larger Samsung 4K for the basement already, and liked it well enough, but for upstairs, my wife wanted something reasonably priced, around the same size (our Sharp was 52”, but looked larger because the casing was so thick) that would look good, but not needing anything over the top. Last year, we bought my dad a Sharp 4K 50” model and absolutely hated it. Being bought out and cheapening up really showed and everything from the programming, functions, look, ability to pick up local channels *with a powered antenna* and the pathetic remote were all lacking.
So I started doing research on 55” models. I wanted a smart TV so we wouldn’t have to rely on our often glitchy Sony 4K player to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney +, we wanted 4K for the content, multiple HDMI inputs, a great remote that wasn’t absolutely tiny, HDR and good quality. My first step was looking into Samsung models. Knowing that the 6 series of most TVs are baseline and often used as a jumping off price point for holiday sales and often using older technology, I was a bit hesitant at first. I considered a Toshiba, but didn’t trust the brand to keep up. I ended up wanting either a Sony, Samsung or LG. Sony was out due to cost and the Samsung models, both 6 and 7 series, only had 2 HDMI inputs and no Disney + options. The colors were brighter on display, but the blacks were deeper on the LG.
I landed on LG, but now needed to decide between the 6 and 7 series. While the base price was far different between the 2, the sale price was deeper on the 7 series, making it $50 more for a better processor, a better remote and a non-holiday model. I chose this 7 series.
Day 1: setup was thorough, but not hard. Robust options and multiple settings to toy with. After booting up Netflix, I found the picture to be far better than what I was expecting for a tv of this price. The remote is a wonder and I absolutely love it. I couldn’t think of a better tv at this size for the price point for one of the major brands.

Only complaint: The only outside button on the unit is the power button. No channel or volume button. If you lose your remote, you will have to use your cell phone.

So we got this tv on a great deal. Wanted to replace an older sharp model with this updated one. The remote is extremely lacking. I know simplistic remotes is the current wave, but this one is asking to get lost. It also will not pick up the local channels that the older one was able to do, no matter what I try.
The screen looks good with a 4K player and upscaled HD, but local channels look terrible

I received the Arozzi Arena Gaming Desk after about 9 days of shipping. Once received, I opened it up and the main leg of the desk was warped so badly out of position that you couldn't even screw in the component pieces in an attempt to make it work. When I took it back to BestBuy to exchange it, they explained to me that it would be another 10 days of shipping before I could receive the replacement. I don't currently have a desk, and now I will be waiting half a month to receive what I hope is a non-broken one.
