Gets the job done, but far from perfect.

I purchased this to protect my 4K OLED, UHD Player, gaming consoles and other electronics. I wanted a power conditioner (along with surge protection) to get the best picture/audio possible. Can't say I have noticed much improvement, probably because I previously had a cheap power conditioner and I guess it was getting the job done.
On the positive side, surge protection is excellent. I have been through a few thunderstorms already and this turned off my electronics before electricity went bad. It also helped me identify some electrical issues in my house. My main wall outlet had wiring issue and lower voltage that I wasn't aware of. I had to call an electrician to get that fixed.
Now onto negatives and it's a little upsetting these exist because they charge a premium price for this device.
- First off, this device is about a decade old and they clearly haven't bothered to update the labels on sockets. It's advertised for 1080p TVs, VCR, DVD and CD. That's a little embarrassing to target in year 2020. It makes me question if they have tested latest tech with this device. I tried to email their customer service and there was no response.
- Secondly, they should have included a battery backup with this hefty price. This is crucial. There are times when I literally get a split second hiss in my electricity, it turns off my electronics and I lose all my progress if I'm gaming. Forget about plugging a computer in this because you will lose progress. Then a second later, it turns everything back on. I don't know if it's helping or hurting because my electronics are not properly shutting down. A small battery to keep electronics running for a "second" would have helped with this annoying issue.
It's a shame, really. Now I will have to look up battery backup for my game consoles and computer so I don't lose progress. This power conditioner is more suited for TVs, Blu-ray/DVD Player and audio equipment.
I know it may not be the case for everyone. I thought my electricity was stable, but these sudden shutdowns make it seem like it isn't. If you trust your electricity is stable and you just want good surge protection with cleaner audio/video, then I'd say go for it. Definitely wait for a sale though because they are not bothering to upgrade this device for today's tech.

Best in market to future-proof your needs!

First of all, I'd like to commend Best Buy on their excellent customer service. I purchased this TV on the second week of its launch. Best Buy had the best deal available with $200 gift card and $200 speaker free with purchase. After 3 weeks, the TV (and warranty) dropped in price. I was able to get a price match on both. It was almost like getting a Black Friday deal on the first month. I'm officially on board with Best Buy for all my home theater needs!
Installation / Setup:
Quite simple to install and very similar to last year's models. Instruction page isn't very clear though. In case if you get stuck, you can always pull a youtube video. Even a C9 installation video will get you an idea.
Once you first boot the TV, you'll be greeted with a whole lot of user agreements to accept. Remember, you don't have to agree to them all unless you're planning on using those specific services. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy agreements are all you need to get started.
As for default picture modes and settings, the TV comes with pretty good presets. You won't have to do much on your own. I only had to touch a few things (such as switching all color temps to Warm 1/2 for accuracy). Bottom line is, you will need professional calibration if you want noticeable better results than default.
Picture Quality:
Absolutely the best it can get today! It's my first time with OLED, so I can't compare it with previous models. I used to be a Samsung supporter, but LG has won me over. It's impossible to go back to anything else now.
At the time of this writing, there are only a couple of methods to push this TV to its limits. First, a gaming PC to display native 4K and HDR. Second, a stand alone 4K UHD Blu-ray player with Dolby Vision support. Dolby Vision are they keywords, don't settle for anything less. Currently, Panasonic has the best high-end players. I have a Panasonic DP-UB820 and the picture is simply breathtaking with 4K UHD movies!
If you don't have either of them, don't worry. TV comes with a whole lot of apps which can stream 4K and Dolby Vision content (such as Apple TV, Netflix and Disney+). Not as good as physical 4K discs, but still very impressive. Plus very soon, we will have new consoles (PS5 & Xbox Series X) out. This TV has all the bells & whistles to support every new feature of new consoles.
Audio Quality:
Default TV speakers are quite good, but they really shine once you play something with Dolby Atmos. TV also accepts wired or bluetooth headphones. I find it a useful feature for late night viewing.
Advantages over C9 model:
You may have heard the news that this TV has a few small downgrades from their last year's C9 model. However, it's still the better purchase for more future-proof features such as Freesync, VRR for 4K 120Hz and superior BFI. As a new TV, it still has another year of firmware support while LG has abandoned C9.
Nitpicks (Cons):
- No support for Steam Link app. Come on LG, you claim to be catering to gamers, yet it doesn't have an app for the most popular gaming platform. Even Samsung supports it. Everyone should message LG about this. They better not leave it for next year's models.
- TV stand is 100% static. Can't rotate the TV.
- Frequent disconnects for wireless internet connection. Forced me to switch to wired connection.
Overall, there should no hesitations to purchase this TV. If you are concerned about image burn-in, OLEDs today have plenty of protection. There is a good chance you won't witness it before your next upgrade. But if you're planning to use it hardcore and want the peace of mind, Best Buy warranty covers burn-in issues. Get it for 5 years and by the time it expires, MicroLED TVs should become mainstream and affordable.

Not as bright as the QLED's. Good for a dark room
By Arif
I went to OLED from a Samsung Q7 QLED after the saleperson convinced me that deeper blacks were the way to go. The Demo was quite good, I do admit.
After installing it in my bedroom , I felt there was not enough light in the display even after cranking up brightness on the TV, it was no where near the pop I got form the QLED's. Plus it had a weird buzzing sound even after being turned off. I returned it and got a display Q90 QLED. and saved $1000, I cannot be happier...

You get what you pay for.

No dolby vision and dolby atmos in your Samsung TV. That's a huge downgrade. Watch a movie with those two features and you'll know what you are missing. And only 1 port for HDMI 2.1, rest are 2.0. The more "pop" you see in Samsung are fake enhancements. OLEDs display realistic colors. It may not be ideal for super bright rooms with lots of windows. That's probably why you saw an issue with brightness. Or it could be a bad panel. No buzzing sound here, TV is 100% quiet.
