This movie was definitely not historically accurate but there were three great actors in it; Robert Shaw, Ty Hardin, and Jeffrey Hunter. The Little Big Horn battle has always held a distinct fascination with me so I liked it. Not a great western but a good one.

One of the best westerns!

When I was a youngster I watched this movie every time it came on tv. In my humble opinion it is in the top 30 westerners of all time. Burt Lancaster gives another sterling performance. This movie portrays the West the way it really was, it is stark, gritty, and honest. I am so happy this great movie was finally put on blu-ray!
