Three outstanding western actors in Richard Widmark, Robert Mitchum, and Kirk Douglas star in this western about settlers moving west along the Oregon Trail. A good movie but with those three a person would think it would be a great movie.

Gary Cooper stars in this risque western that was ahead of its time! I was impressed with this western in portraying the harsh reality of the Old West that you usually don't see until ten or fifteen years later. A solid western!

A great western that grows on you featuring two great actors in the twilight of their careers. I had to watch this movie again to make sure I wasn't imagining how good it is. A great western can't be that without a rip-roaring gunfight at the end. Great scenery too!

A grand western

The final segment of the cavalry trio, this movie has comedy, action, and a bit of a love story. The old sergeant, Quincannon is my favorite character. There's also a young Ben Johnson. Too bad it wasn't in color to show off the beautiful background.
