Two highly regarded aces in Paul Newman and Robert Redford, one part way through his career, the other just starting. Both do a fantastic job! With magnificent vistas, how could you not like this movie??? I love this movie!!!

The only reason I gave this movie a four and not a five is because, in my humble opinion, is basically a remake of High Plains Drifter. In both movies you aren't sure if Clint is real or a ghost. It was a great movie in its own right, but like the movie, eerily similar in many ways. Still highly recommended...

This movie I could watch over and over. A classic with a magnificent duo of John Wayne and Henry Fonda, this movie has action, romance, and comedy!!! It is definitely one of my favorite of Wayne's and a great movie overall.

With John Wayne and Kirk Douglas how can this movie go wrong? Action with lots of playful interaction between John and Kirk. I have always loved this movie!!! You can't go wrong with it!

This is a great western and a great movie in general. Regarded as one of the best westerns every, it is hard to argue with the ensemble cast. Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, and Ricky Nelson do a great job of backing up the Duke. A great plot line with a great cast leads to an awesome movie!!!!

This is a great movie! You have William Holden with John Wayne plus a great script. Humor, action, and a female distraction leads a great viewing experience. Plus the backdrop of the Civil War, it is hard to beat this one.

A really good World War II Pacific Theater movie with a solid cast. Hugh O'Brien, Micky Rooney, and Robert Mitchum's son James do justice to the script.

A view into how war affects the homefront. A top notch cast, actual battle is very little of the movie. An interesting peak into Navajo code talkers as well.

This movie is so off the with its plot that it wasn't well received at first. I laughed my butt off the first time I watched it. The tongue in cheek humor is great and Kurt Russell pulls it off in style. Highly recommended!!!!

When this movie came out in 1987, I was impressed with the attention to details given to it. A brutal, realistic portrayal of one of the most famous battles of the Vietnam War, it is worth watching. The score by Philip Glass is haunting.
