I give the Echo Plus 2nd Gen three stars.., not because it’s bad but because it could be better. With the addition of voice control like what’s in the TV Cube. The built hub works great. Connecting all of your WiFi enable devices such as Lights and Thermostats. However it would be nice to have voice control for your TV, Nextflix, Music Streaming Services, Amazon Video and gaming consoles, such as your Xbox. All of which can be done with the Amazon TV Cube.

Great at voice commands and you have the ability to play and control music via your soundbar or home entertainment/theater system is seamless.
However I could not access the TV Cubes Dolby Atmos feature. Despite it stating Dolby Atmos clearly on the Box. Which is the only reason I bought the Cube.
I Made a call to Amazon Tech Support and they couldn’t activate the Cubes Dolby Atmos feature either..,
Long story short I returned it. But only because I have a Fire TV Stick.
If you want Dolby Atmos then I wouldn’t recommend buying the TV Cube. However if you don’t want or need Dolby Atmos then I would highly recommend The Amazon Fire TV Cube.
After all who doesn’t want to control things with your voice. I was able to turn the TV off and On, control the volume and change the channel all with my voice. I was even able to Control Netflix, Amazon Video, Music Apps and my Xbox all with my voice. How cool is that...!!!

I returned these. The bulbs are Dim.., very dim, even on there brightest setting. Will work without the bridge (via Amazon Echo Plus or Show). However the functions are limited to On, Off, Dim and Color Change. You can’t access the bulbs advanced features without connecting the Bridge. You can’t even access the Hue App without the Bridge. To get full features you have to connect the Bridge. These did not meet my needs. There are other bulbs out there that are brighter and way easier to use, without a bridge or Hub. You can shop around but, let me save you some time with one word, “LIFX”...!!!
