My old computer had dv-i output and needed a longer cable. What better way to upgrade it than to attach this to my tv. Transmits audio and video and now i can watch my movies in "high def" with this cable. Haven't tested if it transmits Dolby, but i think thats limited to my sound card. Very happy with it. It thin and flexible enough so it can go around my equipment. High recommend if you have dv-i video cards.

A lot slower than it predicessor, x800m2. For this one, u have to go into the settings to turn on the Atmos Visions and once its on, it's on all the time. It's not auto and it can be annoying because u don't know if it's real or fake Vision. Remote is hard to use and takes awhile before the info to get to the player.

It feels like the outlets weren't placed right. Either they weren't spaced right or they had the orientation 180°, where the widely spaced outlets are in the wrong spot from the power cable. Might be me though. Price was Right so can't can't complain to much.

Bought it cause my Sony 800 (no "m") doesn't have Dolby Vision and wanted to watch Matrix UHD with Dolby Vision, so I bought this one. Feels like a step back from the 800 (cause it's 100 better than 700?) The remote is small and the interface feels sluggish and when u turn on Dolby Vision on the 700/m, it's all on all the time except for DVDs, which makes it hard to enjoy a movie. I can't tell if the movie has original HDR or is added by the player. It gives it a fake Vision feeling and I'm def not feeling that. Great budget player but if I had the money, I'd save for the 800/m.

I have this sony DVD player and it play well on new discs blue ray and 4K but when I purchased Gun Smoke complete series put on DVD it doesn't play like it should. It sometimes freezes up, the main menu freezes up. Any suggestions?

Would the two front surround speakers work as downward firing atmos speakers. I upgraded the two front surround to the klipsch 6 1/2” tower speakers, was just wondering if they would now work as atmos speakers for my setup. I have an avr that supports it.
