Fastest Amazon 4k yet

This is the third version of the Amazon 4k streaming platform that I've owned. I really appreciate the speed of on-screen navigation especially with click+hold scrolling. The difference in smooth scrolling is apparent.
When replacing an older installed Fire with a new one, you are offered to restore your profile from the older one. Though useful, it is incomplete and I suggest that you spend time going through the settings to make sure that some haven't been reset e.g., Parental Controls and Screen Saver
Any subscription services e.g., Showtime, will need to be re-authenticated.

Though I thought that the UI was counter-intuitive, the channel guide channels' logo difficult to see, missing programs in a series, confusing navigation, the app does work and has 60+ channels. It has some that are included that might require a subscription if not using Philo.
It competes with Roku Channel and Pluto among others.

I use apple tv for most of my main tvs i my house. I bought this for a guest bedroom that doesn't get too much use and because of the more than 100 dollar price difference I figured why spend so much on an apple tv that wouldn't get used very much. To my surprise this tiny little streaming stick does almost as well at streaming as my apple tvs. There are a couple of apps that Amazon doesn't support that I subscribe to which is a bummer. Peacock and HBO Max are currently unsupported due to ongoing feuds between the device makers and the content producers. But overall the menus load almost as fast and it seems to pull in a strong internet connection from my router with no streaming or buffering issues. And supporting Dolby Vison and Dobly Atmos is a nice bonus. Very powerfull streaming stick that's easy to use at a very reasonable price.
