Turns your ipad into a full blown computer. I use this everyday on my iPad Pro. The full size trackpad and the keys that are such a pleasure to type on are a huge upside. It ca n get scuffed and damaged pretty easily though unfortunately. Also adds a good amount of weight to the ipad. ]
You do get an extra usb c port to charge the ipad via the magic keyboard case (power no data only, need to use usb c on iPad for data) This also works with the 4th gen and newer iPad Air if you want to save a few hundred bucks.

Why is Best Buy selling the digital version if they are unable to get codes for distribution to paying customers? Accepting money knowing you don't have product is fraud and should be reported to defrauded customers state Dept. of Consumer Affairs
They had an issue where physical sales were cancelled and void. In theory they should have been allocated the first digital codes. But according to the SKU system that was not was purchased. It makes more sense for them to void the purchase and have you buy the digital code instead of moving your purchase to the digital code automatically, as THAT WOULD constitute false advertising and misrepresentation of a product.

Is this an antivirus?
No it’s a protection plan. If it is bought on a computer it might cover the removal of viruses that said computer might acquire. All windows computers ship with windows defender, which every anti virus testing/review sites have shown to be just as good as commercial products. It is on by default, so feel free to use your windows computer with no stress/no need to shell out more money for anti virus, windows has it built in! And it’s a pretty dang good one on windows 10 and 11 systems,
