Incredible piece of technology

This is an incredible machine in every sense. I have always been a Windows user but switched to an M1 Mac mini when it was released and immediately fell in love with MacOS. The Mac mini served me well and was still lightning fast after a few years of use. Upgrading to this portable MacBook with more memory has been incredible - MacOS is even faster, more responsive, and smoother than ever before. The MacBook itself looks and feels premium. Sound quality is fantastic, the screen is beautiful, and the trackpad is so intuitive and fluid I don't think I will ever go back to a desktop set up. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I was between a 14" and 16" and ultimately went 14" because it's the sweet spot for size. The 16" was surprisingly heavy and clunky when used in person. I do worry about battery life from time to time (I'm used to a desktop which I just left on usually playing music 24/7) but the MagSafe charger does allow for fast charging.

I have been using a Series 3 for several years without issue but wanted to upgrade to a cellular version for outdoor walks/runs without a phone. The series 7 is blazing fast and the screen is gorgeous. The extra space that comes with the 7 alleviated the storage/upgrade issues I had with the 3. Cellular service with Tmobile has been excellent.

Looks amazing but still shows signs of stick drift

This controller has been great but has slowly began to show signs of drift in the right stick after ~10 months of light use. Needs open bluetooth

The speaker sounds amazing, but I'm a little disappointed with the lack of open bluetooth for this speaker. My intention was to use this with my M1 Mac mini, but due to the fact it only uses airplay and not bluetooth, there is a constant 2-3 second delay for nearly all sounds played. Additionally, you can't set it to be used to play system sounds for some reason, and they disconnect from the Mac when not used/when the Mac sleeps so you must manually select the HomePods as your audio output source each time. Apple definitely is missing the mark on these as the don't "just work" for me. Hopefully they update them via software to enable bluetooth. As a speaker paired with my iPhone they sound phenomenal and definitely say they're worth it if bought on sale - just not worth it for my use case I suppose!
