I upgraded from an iPad 6th Gen to this Air Model. The additional features the Air provide are very useful. The larger screen isn't very noticeable but the iPad itself is very solid, sturdy, and thin. If you need an iPad but don't want to go for the Pro, the Air is just right.

The adapter is sturdy and works consistently to use a tv as a monitor with my Dell Venue tablet.
However, because it is a hard adapter and not one with a tail, the position of the hdmi cable is a little tricky. I had to elevate my tablet to make space for the cable (see picture). If my tablet had a micro hdmi port, I would not be able to use this adapter while charging the tablet due to the space constraint.
Be sure to look at the ports on your device and think about how it would fit before purchasing and consider getting an adapter that has a short tail attached.

Its probably made this way so you have to buy another cord to use between the device and the adapter. More $$$$!
