I bought a home 5 years ago that had a built in SubZero fridge. Without totally bashing that brand, there's something to be said about form over function, and I hated everything about that unit's form since day 1. Everything. Let's face it, a refrigerator/freezer's function is pretty simple: keep your food cold and fresh. For that reason form becomes the more important factor, and the Samsung Bespoke counter depth has that in spades. Soft close doors that are well balanced, stay open when you need, rest partly closed if you need, and gently shut when you're done. Ample space, adjustable multi-level shelving, with a unique half-depth shelf to allow taller item storage as needed, roomy drawers, VERY roomy door storage, dual sized ice maker, auto fill pitcher... the list goes on and it all just works drama free. Btw I have well water and the easily replaceable filter works really well, as made apparent by my ice having little to no taste or smell.
The small control panel in the unit is simple enough to use, and though I haven't really explored much of the "smart" features, it's nice to know they're there for future use. On top of that and more, it also just looks really nice and modern, yet simple and understated, literally exactly what I'd want from a fridge, besides its obvious purpose which, btw, works flawlessly and quietly!
Only small gripes are I wish there were a few more notches of shelf level customization than the few it has, and I wish the 2nd row of drawers could be opened with just one of the 2 doors open. But my solution to that was to put more frequently accessed items in the topmost drawer that can be opened with just one side open. A small compromise for an otherwise fantastic fridge.

I don't even know where to begin with how useless this garbage product is. I gave Arlo a chance because I had previously owned one of their indoor cams for open houses when I was selling my townhouse. That worked really well and was consistent. This battery/wired doorbell worked for about 1 day, and then the cycle of problems began. Motion detection is all over the place. Sometimes it picks up the delivery person early enough, but sometimes not until they're walking away. Can you see the potential problem with that? Incoming calls upon ringing the bell worked a total of maybe 5 times in the past year, all near the beginning of ownership. Arlo blamed all of this on my ISP, so to humor them I even upgraded my internet plan which also doubled my upload speeds, the main scapegoat they used. But guess what, none of that improved anything! The app is garbage, their support is obviously garbage, and I would never buy another Arlo product again. I would have returned it had I known the problems would become permanent, but Arlo support strung me along in the beginning because they would get things working again, and then 2 days later the problems would return. This broken promise of a product went through that cycle until I was passed the return window, which is what I get for putting my trust in this lackluster company. Buyer beware, the positive reviews either lucked out with their setups, or didn't come back to change their reviews after diminishing returns.

Underrated but very impressive UST projector.

I did extensive research before purchasing this projector during the 2022 holiday season (we're talking spreadsheets, people). While I didn't buy it from Best Buy (shame on me), it's worth my time adding a review here because this unit is nothing short of outstanding, and Optoma deserves the credit. The picture quality blew me away from day 1, and in some ways has become even more impressive the more I've used it.
TLDR first, then I'll elaborate for those who are interested.
Why I chose this unit to begin with:
-Well-rounded specs (e.g. laser light source, 4k/3D, 3 HDMI inputs, ARC, etc.)
-Among the lowest lag offered out there, which is great for Gaming
-Ultra Short Throw because I didn't want to mount anything or have my picture interrupted by people getting up to pee
-Price, especially on sale, is very reasonable
-Didn't need the "smart" version because I have enough streaming devices, so saved even more money
-Well-rounded specs (e.g. laser light source, 4k/3D, 3 HDMI inputs, ARC, etc.)
-Among the lowest lag offered out there, which is great for Gaming

The results:

-Solid contrast* (should be graded on a curve because it's still a projector, but even with that in mind, black levels are pretty good with the right screen and dimmed lights)
-Bright and useable even in somewhat lit rooms (again with the right ALR/CLR screen)
-3D quality a HUGE WIN - 3D performance is stunningly good, and a big plus if you're like me and still a die-hard 3D fan
-Excellent performance from any type of content.
-Has taken gaming to a whole new level.

Now the deep dive for the curious:
Most projector specialty websites seem to praise other units and don't give this Optoma model much attention. But as a super picky video/audiophile with OCD who has to have perfection, I can tell you there's something a little sus about that. Here's why: I actually also bought another brand's model, one with a lot of praise from those sites, the AWOL, to do a direct A/B comparison in my own home, and... NOPE. Couldn't get past the very distracting "laser speckle," a common issue with triple-laser units that this single laser Optoma does not suffer from. Even if that hadn't been an issue, I could not get accurate colors out of that model for the life of me, and I have a lot of color tweaking knowledge. I was pretty easily able to get the Optoma looking very close to my calibrated plasma in terms of color and contrast, and that says a lot.

So either those sites were too focused on the numbers on their measuring tools deciding what's "right" instead of using their eyes, or they received some kickbacks from other companies... or they simply don't know how to use THIS projector properly. Sure, I myself found a few things about this model a little finicky at first, but after some tweaking, and countless tests on HD, 4k, 3D and gaming content, I've basically left the menus alone and have been coasting smoothly ever since, thoroughly enjoying everything I watch to the point of near addiction. The settings menu does look old school, but don't let that turn you off. The options are extensive and powerful, and especially if you know what you're doing, you can get a lot out of this unit. But even if you're not into menu tweaking, just start with Reference mode. It needs very little to maximize the quality. There are a few settings on the projector that can make a big difference, but also pay attention to your source devices' settings. There was one quirk with the Xbox Series X, for example, that had me thinking there was something wrong with the projector. But once I checked a box, all was right in the world.
To sum up, I came from a top-of-the-line plasma that I thought I'd never replace. And while I still use the plasma during the day on weekends, I pretty much leave my floor rising ALR/CLR UST screen up every night for anything I watch. This UST has spoiled me and changed my opinion on TVs for good. The colors are vivid and accurate (especially using "Reference" mode as the foundation) with punchy contrast, motion is smooth and free of jitter without the obnoxious soap opera effect, 3D movies are INSANE and beat both my flagship Samsung 3D plasma AND flagship Sony 3D LED performance, and gaming never looked better and is pure joy with undetectable lag.
*Pro tip: If you're watching a movie and the contrast looks unusually washed out, check the menu for the color range options, i.e. 0-255, 16-235, and Auto, I believe. Even though I have mine set to Auto, playing some content using my Xbox-X doesn't always trigger the right mode. But when I change it to one of the above numbered ranges manually under those circumstances, it punches up the contrast correctly. Call it a quirk of this projector, small price to pay for the end result. ;)

Excellent sound, lacks some flexibility

I had originally purchased Sony's HT-Z9F soundbar from another store, along with its matching wireless rear speakers. The features and customizable settings were excellent, but the sound was noticeably tinny and left a lot to be desired, aside from the nice subwoofer. The "Atmos "and "X" effects on it sounded too obviously virtual to my picky ears, so I returned it and gave this Samsung a try. I find the results in this case somewhat opposite the Sony, but ultimately for the best. The sound is now excellent, but it seems to lack the flexibility the extensive settings menu on the Sony provided. That said, it's a soundbar, so I'd rather have it sound good out of the box than require me to dig into menus for days anyway.
I have not experienced any of the issues some others seem to have had with this unit, but I do have some gripes of my own. I think it goes to sleep too quickly compared to my other devices connected to it. It does occasionally lose its connection to one of the rear speakers at start up, but it somehow finds a way to solve itself right away without any of my effort. Gripes aside, what I think this soundbar does very successfully is NOT sound like a soundbar. And that's everything. I don't like my sound colored, especially by the inherent limitations most soundbars can't help, e.g. their size. The oomph and clarity of the Samsung almost make you forget you're listening to a soundbar. It handles movies and music equally well, and the sound stage fills my bedroom, especially when watching a blu-ray encoded with Dolby Atmos. I think it's a keeper, especially when bought on sale. 5 stars for sound, 4 stars for features/flexibility, so really I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.
Side note: Folks who are complaining that Atmos doesn't work with certain material, or via ARC, it's because it's not supposed to work from a source that doesn't actually have Atmos. It's like saying your 1080p blu-ray isn't displaying 4k correctly. If you connect a blu-ray player to this soundbar and play a movie that has a Dolby Atmos track, it works as it should. I also don't find the lack of DTS X a big deal because out of my hundreds of blu-rays, nearly none of them have an "X" track. Atmos is more of a purist format to begin with, because it actually uses speakers for the extra sound. DTS X seems to be more of a software-driven, virtual effect that doesn't require the extra speakers. Something to consider when breaking things down to the reality of the two formats...

Previous owner of my new home left 2 dehumidifiers behind, both garbage, so I needed a new one to keep my basement under control. I saw all the positive reviews for this unit, and was also told Frigidaire are one of the top 2 choices for this type of product. I definitely concur with the positive feedback. This thing took my large basement from 85 - 55% humidity in a matter of hours, and has kept it that way. And that's with setting it to 60%! Not to be fooled by digital read outs, my basement feels NOTICEABLY way more comfortable and dry, not overly damp and cold like before. As a bonus, the unit is elegantly designed, with a simple and clean look, and does run MUCH quieter than the units left behind. To give some context, when I tried those other two, they were obnoxiously loud even with the basement door closed, easily heard while sitting upstairs in the living room. I can't even hear this unit, sitting in the same position, even with it placed closer to the basement stairs than the others. I have to open my basement door and take a few steps down to even make sure it's still working! I was so pleased, I committed to using a continuous drain hose, which improved its efficiency even more. Great product, would recommend and buy again! I hope it lasts a long time.

A worthwhile double dip for fans...

...and a better hi-def option for fans who don't yet own The Fifth Element on blu-ray. I double dipped with this one, thanks to the less than stellar transfer quality of a previous edition I own. Being a perfectionist, I had to give this remastered version of one of my favorite movies a shot. Thankfully, I can honestly say I see a noticeable improvement in the video quality of this "mastered in 4k" edition. The new Dolby Atmos track was a nice bonus as well, but I'm mostly happy that this aging catalog title doesn't look as much its age as my previous blu-ray. Epic, fun(ny), sci-fi with a touch of love. Something for everyone gives this movie a lot of replay value, which justified my wanting to own the best version I could.* (*I do not own a 4k display.)

A little slow, but still impressive

The previous movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, surprised me in a good way. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, so I went ahead with the next in the series. While the visual effects are truly outstanding, "War" seemed to play out much slower paced than its predecessor for much of the movie. I'm sure that has something to do with the simple plot. Still, the amount of emotion conveyed by the virtual apes is quite remarkable, and even more compelling in 3D.

Will this unit turn on and off by itself as needed when running on medium?
Yes. The choice of fan speed is independent of the desired humidity level setting, but turns off when said level is reached, and back on when humidity once again reaches a level above the set amount, and so on like a cycle. This should reduce overall power consumption.
