I've done wings, mozzarella sticks and a rotisserie chicken. All came out great. This first rotisserie I had to take out because it was to big. It was about 4.5 lbs. I did a 3lb and it was perfect. The homemade mozzarella sticks were great too!

What is the maximum weight the rotisserie can handle (mainly, how heavy a chicken)?
I tried a 4.5 lb chicken trussed and had to take it out after a few rotations because the wing and breast kept touching. I did a little over 3 lb chicken trussed and it worked perfectly. The chicken was amazingly tender and juicy.
It never made it to the serving plate. 1 taste and I just couldn't stop haha. I'm gonna try a pork loin next.

Does the drip pan go underneath the heating element or above?

Can unit stay plugged in the outlet to be in off position?
The manual says to unplug it.. I dont know what exactly it would hurt if you left it plugged in though. I've had mine about 2 weeks I think and I unplug it when I'm done. Not the best answer but probably the safest.
Also, side note. The first couple time you try something different I wouldn't go to far from the air dryer until you know how it will cook. I had a rotisserie chicken going and a wing got loose on me haha.
