I moved into a brand new built house 6 mos ago. The builder put a crappy washer and dryer in. Can I use the existing gas connector, washer hoses, etc? Also fridge died. Can’t be fixed. Can water line be used for new fridge?

My dryer is giving off steam in my laundry room which is causing damage to ceiling of my laundry room, it keeps saying check the screen but my screen is cleaned. I even brought an extra line that runs from my cold water to my dryer. What is causing this?
If using steam option often , you should consider a fan vent for your laundry room. Or vent through window. Your washer will give off water vapor also on hot cycles., similar to a hot shower. The cold water line is required for a machine with the steam option to produce the steam.
For lint screen issue check your outside vent pipe and piping. These vents & pipes can back up venting when filled with accumulated if house is old and previous machines were used.
