Great TV for the price, bad set up options

A perfect use case for me. An Office TV that has both AirPlay and Chromecast capabilities. The built-in Google TV is a plus feature. Not five stars just based on the difficulty of setting up the television. If you use the Google TV to set it up, it might cause issues. I was able to work through some of those problems with multiple different devices. It only worked setting up with a Google Pixel.

Great Sound Bar, Poor Quality Control

In the end, the product was great. 3/5
3/5 because the first time around, the product was a complete fail, manufacturer defect. I had purchased it specifically for the Dolby Atmos capabilities. I planned on pairing it with a Sony XBR75X900 After bringing it home and trying to set it up, I couldn't get it to work via the HDMI pass through. I tried to remedy this by purchasing a high quality HDMI cable, instead of the one that is packaged with the sound bar. After not being able to even bring the setup menu up on the screen with the new HDMI cord, I decided that it was time for a refund. In doing more research, I found that this was going to be the best "bang for my buck." I ended up getting a replacement sound bar.
The second time around, the sound bar comes out of the box and the HDMI pass through works on the first try. The eARC is functional with the Atmos features. When it all works correctly, it sounds spectacular. I plan on pairing them with the rear speakers to complete the set.
I love Sony products, unabashedly. We have multiple televisions and other Sony manufactured goods in our household, but this only gets an average rating for the very poor quality control that put me in a bad way. I'd give it a 3.5 if it was possible on this rating system, because the sound bar does sound really good, but the amount of frustration and questioning myself on if I was doing things correctly comes with a rounding down, instead of up.

Will the 3.1 sound bar work with a Sony KDL 52W4100?
Full disclosure, I do not own your model of television, but I do own the Sony HTZ9F and pair it with a Sony XBR-75X900F.
After looking at the specs of your television (https://docs.sony.com/release//specs/KDL52W4100_mksp.pdf), i definitely think you could get the soundbar to work with your setup. i see that your television has a digital optical output and could connect through either HDMI or that output. However, if you're purchasing this soundbar for the Dolby Atmos capable features, you might be disappointed. Your television does not appear to support eARC HDMI which is needed to pass the data to the speakers for the true Atmos experience. If that's the case, I'd recommend a step down to a more cost friendly Sony soundbar. If not, go crazy!
