The movie that kick started Marvel super hero movies in my opinion and then we end up with a fantastic finish with Infinity war and Endgame. I had a DVD copy of this movie and decided to upgrade this movie to 4K. The step up in quality is huge over the DVD version and with this movie being so important in the Marvel universe I bite the bullet and bought it even though Disney movies still overpriced even on sale at $14.99. If you are a fan of this movie and don't have a copy of it or like me only had a DVD copy than I can recommend this movie for purchase.

4K Eye Candy and A Good Movie To Boot

I really enjoyed seeing this movie in theater. Some people are bothered by the size of Alita's eyes. I noticed them at first but I got use to them as the movie went along and for me they became part of her character and grew on me.
This movies looks fantastic in 4K and darn good in Blu Ray too. The set even comes with a 3D which I heard is good if you are into 3D. I would recommend giving it a shot.

A Crowd Pleaser

This was my #2 movie I saw in theaters in 2019. I just loved it and of all the movies my movie group saw in theaters this one had the most universal love. I can't remember anyone that didn't like it. It's what you call a good old fashioned popcorn movie. My favorite scene is when Matt Damon takes Mr. Ford out for a spin in the race car.
In regards to the 4K and Blu Ray transfer both versions are beautiful and you can't go wrong with either version so if you don't have a 4K at this time you can enjoy the Blu Ray now and if you get a 4K TV in the future enjoy it again in that format other wise if price is an issue or you don't plan up going to 4K I still highly recommend buying just the Blu Ray version. I give this movie my highest recommendation. It was a must own for me.

This Movie Really Surprised Me

This is not the normal type of genre movie that I watch but I saw this movie in theater and I really enjoyed it and it made my top 10 2019 movie so when I saw it on sale for $9.99 during black Friday and I also had a $5 reward to use it was a no brainer to add this movie to my collection.
The cast is this movie is top notch and I found it to be a beautiful story. Some people I went with said it was hard to follow the timeline but only once did I get a bit confused when they were jumping around. I have never seen the previous versions of Little Women so I can't compare it to those but I loved this version.
As far as the Blu Ray Video & Audio goes which you probably really want to know about in this review is its top notch but shouldn't you expect that from a new release? That said some new releases don't deliver top notch video & audio. This one does. I think you will be very pleased with that aspect if you purchase this. I definitely recommend this movie.

AVR With HDMI 2.1

I was excited about getting this receiver with my new system because of HDMI 2.1 but there appears to be a problem with the new chip so I returned the unit and got my money back and I will just buy a model with good old HDMI 2.0 capabilities that work and upgrade to HDMI 2.1 when I get my next new system 5 to 10 years down the road.

Home Consultant Abandoned Ship

Initially I would have given this review 5 stars as the consultant came to my house and we spent 1 hour together discussing all new kitchen and laundry appliances along with a new home entertainment system and WI-FI. Consultant gave me some good ideas and sent me a bid and then went on vacation for a week but no problem with that as I needed time to review bid and make some decisions plus he told me he was going on vacation for a week.
I made 2 changes to the 6 kitchen & laundry appliances that were selected and had some follow up questions regarding the appliances and the TV package. I met with the consultant at the store for 2 hours when he got back from vacation to go over everything and was ready to order the 6 kitchen & laundry appliances but most could not be ordered (supply chain issues) so no order was placed at that time. I asked for some further options on the TV and a recommendation on a surge protector which he did not include in the initial bid but was fine with everything else in the home entertainment package. At this point we are still at 5 stars.
Now things go bad. The following week I see 4 of the laundry & kitchen appliances can be ordered so I sent multiple emails asking if he can order for me while it appears we can get them but he never responded. Tried calling his voice mail and it said it was full and I could not leave a message. I finally placed an order online myself for the 4 items to lock in the special Labor Day savings along with additional 10% off offered by the manufacturer before the sale ended. Still could not order the Refrigerator and Dishwasher but don’t blame the consultant for that.
Very disappointed he left me in the dark on the order and no response in over 2 weeks so I thought I would give him one last call to see why I never heard from him but I did not hear back from him.
I am a careful shopper and I needed to be brought up to speed on many items I was purchasing and after putting in a total of 3 hours with me we were at the 1 yard ready to score a touchdown with the only thing that needed to be resolved is which TV to pick and I was very close just needed a little more information. I don't get the lack of response?
I wanted the home consultant to get credit for the order given the time he spent with me but then he just gave up and so I scrambled to order as much as I could myself online. It's very disappointing and not good customer service. I guess if you are just expected to say yes, yes, yes to all products picked and have it be a 10 minute sale then you can give it 5 stars but if some time is involved in the sale it seems like they dump you as that appears to a prevalent theme on some of the previous reviews I have read.
Since this continues to happen I can only assume that management supports this behavior? Ultimately it looks as though I should have purchased my laundry & kitchen appliances through Home Depot at the same price as Best Buy and I could have gotten all 6 of my appliances at the sale price. Now because of the delay in waiting for the consultant I missed my opportunity to get the Refrigerator and Dishwasher at the sale price.

Classic Hockey Movie Looks Very Good On Blu Ray

If you like Hockey this is a must own or if you like comedy you should check this out. The Hanson brothers are great! I read that this the most fun Paul Newman had making a movie.
I was impressed with the quality of how the film looks on Blu Ray especially given that it was not a big budget movie from the seventies.

AVR Receiver with HDMI 2.1 Chip

I would just avoid any new receiver that has the new 2.1 HDMI chip until the bug gets fixed. I am actually going to buy another Denon receiver but one without the new HDMI 2.1 chip.

Is the digital copy a 4K version? Current hardware can only stream 4K. Thank you for your time.
I have not downloaded the digital copy of Alita Battle Angel because I usually give those to a friend but here is what I read about it if that helps. The included Digital Copy unlocks 4K Dolby Vision on VUDU with some digital-only bonus features that didn't make it to the standard Blu-ray Disc.
