Decent home cooking appliance

From frozen to cooked with crispy skin this is a clever device. It has worked well and functioned as designed. The only negative is the plastic parts should have been made of a different material. The high heat causes the plastic to off gas and you can smell the plastic while cooking. My crappy solution was to run the thing outside empty until the smell was reduced to where it didn't seem to pollute the food. Would have gotten a seperate all stainless air crisper and pressure cooker if I'd have known about the materials. That being said it does cook rice in less that 15 minutes.

Used a network monitor to see why this quit working after a couple months...found that it was working, very well. It was using bandwidth and phoning home yet the video would buffer constantly (239 Mbps). A little looking around and found that Roku makes most of their money selling data collected from the devices. Tossed it in the trash.

If you want the features to work you gotta shell out money after you already bought the hardware. Remeber getting satellite TV and they give you the hardware because they know that the monthly charges are how they make money...this is a double dip.

Home alarm alert system

Use this without payed monitoring. Was easy to install and it will alert you via text or email if a sensor is tripped while in selected modes. It functions well most of the time. It does lose internet connectivity a few times per month. Using a Velop router to check the connection the problem seems to be the alarm itself and not internet being down. So not 100% reliable but it works most of the time. As a stand alone without cameras it does a reasonable job keeping you informed.

Well seemed like a good idea at first. Bought this to go on the garage but never installed it after realizing that you have to pay for a monthly subscription to see any video footage. You can activate the camera and view remotely but that's it. If you want to see what caused the motion alert you will have to pay Amazon for that feature. They also sell the data to police departments and have the ability to run facial recognition on all the footage stored on the pay access servers. Not really a citizen friendly system. More of a monitoring tool to keep tabs on the cameras owner.

I have a Samsung 48" HDTV that is about 2 1/2 years old - Will these speakers play connected to the TV without having to buy additional items? - If something else is required, what do I have to buy?
These speakers are passive (no power/signal supply) and need to be powered with an a/v receiver or separate amplifier. They require additional components to operate. Best Buy has sound bars with or without subwoofers that have built in power supplies which will work with your TV.

Flat screen TV hugs wall. HDMI port is in back of TV. HDMI cable plugged into port on TV would stick out into wall. Can I use this cable to plug into port on back of TV to Roku 4K streaming stick otherwise Roku would not go into port b/c wall in way?
This cable will stick out roughly 1.5” from the TV HDMI port. Also the cable would likely fail over time due to the 90 degree kink to go down to your roku device. Best Buy sells a few different adapters you can use with a standard HDMI cable to accomplish your goal. Here are a couple examples... AudioQuest - 90° Wide HDMI Adapter - Black Model:HDMI90W SKU:9511138 as well as the Rocketfish™ - HDMI Universal Swivel Adapter - Silver Model:RF-G1181 SKU:5760701. Hope this helps!
