This is an outstanding film. It's beautiful visually. The characters are engaging and make more sense motivation wise in this kid film then many major Hollywood porductions of late. The voice performances are amazing all around but Antonio Banderas needs to be highlighted for his contribution. In a film where the voice talent seems to be cast appropriately and not just for their limelight names Antonio gives what I consider a career performance. Highly Recommended

From the studio that brought you Anastasia and Ever After comes a fairy tale that doesn't go by the book. Everyone's favorite disreputable Super Hero returns with a twist on Deadpool 2 that the whole gang can enjoy.

This succeeds in what it brings. It is a lower rating, check. It has an amusing meta shtick with the inclusion of Fred Savage and the Princess Bride format, check. You get an unusual release to add to your collection or inspect the merits yourself as a novelty, check.
The cons are everything else. PG13 is not the best version of Deadpool. The violence looks unusual. The pacing suffers. The sequence suffers. Much of the charm evaporates from the original portions that the Savage sections, despite being very good, can't do enough to replace. If you're buying this to give someone a early impression of the Deadpool films it's odd for that to begin with the sequel film and I'm not sure it would be a better outcome than simply having them wait till they can see the first film properly. Idk.
This is not the best version of Deadpool 2. It is A version of Deadpool 2 and if you're in it for what makes it unique than you'll likely enjoy it. At least for those things. Im happy with it. Popcorn films with heart at their best. It's a pleasure to watch films made with great care and effort succeed on every ambition. Clearly the second film is a passion project through which Tom would accept no half measures. Watch the supplemental material and be in awe of what this cast did. The og film is a no doubt classic that i loved as a child and admire more now for how much drama and character it emotes through a more grounded premise and characters than I realized as a child.
