I've read many take downs of this movie where it's pointed out that history doesn't actually support it. Yup. Just accept that it's an alternative history film or frankly don't care about that sort of thing. Then you can enjoy this movie. And it really is a good looking enjoyable movie. Just don't reference it as fact.
