Great speaker package. They sound good, and most importantly, they are inwall!
Comes with a cutout template for the wall. Also includes a plastic painting shield, to protect sensitive components during install or remodel.

Surprisingly rugged

Was surprised how rugged they are. I use them in the field, so they have kissed the concrete many times. Also was impressed with the ambient noise feature. They do slip out of ear occasionally. "Get the servc Plan," is my advice for everyone. Worth the money!

Can these speakers be used outdoors in a ceiling of a covered patio?

They are not water resilient, however, depending on the surrounding atmosphere. I would as long as there is not direct exposure to sunlight, water, or extreme temperatures.

What size speaker wire do you reccomend

16 ga. Copper stranded wire is a good choice.

Does the speaker cover attach by magnet?

No, it is friction. Basically it squeezes in.
To remove the grille, a small prying utensil can be used to gently separate the grille from the face of the unit.
