This new outlet works great and installation directions were clear. However, it's deeper than the old style outlets so it may not fit all the way in. Other than that, love it!

Does the north american version of the game offer Japanese text? Such as switching the system language or logging in on a Japanese account make the games language change to Japanese text?

I would say yes. My system is in Chinese and all the in game dialogue is in Chinese. Voices are still all in English.
