Hi I am about to order but I have seen two different shaped pots with this particular coffee maker. A more round retro one and then a basic shaped one. Is the manufacturer still doing the retro round one as that is the one I prefer?
I received the basic coffee pot when I received my order, so I called the company. The rep said they no longer offer the retro pot. That is what makes the retro look. Otherwise, it is just a red coffee pot. Because of this, do not buy if you want the look. You may have noticed, there is no water measure on the machine. That makes a difference because the coffee pot measurements are not exactly right. Had I noticed that and known about the regular pot, I probably would not have ordered.

Does it have a charcoal filter to filter the water you pour in to use for the coffee
No, not that I know of. I have to say this coffee pot has been very disappointing. Something I really miss is the water level indicator on the machine, and I wish I had noticed there was not one before I bought. But, that is my mistake. The greatest disappointment is that it does not come with the pot advertised. It absolutely makes the machine. I called the company, and they are sold out of the pot shown in the picture so they cannot replace. The pot you receive is just a regular design like most manufacturers. Nothing special about this machine if you are buying for the color and design.
