Wife's Kindle 7 went bad after she dropped it. I already had the 2017 version so decided to go with the upgrade version and give her mine. Was able to transfer almost all apps. Had old set up be able to d/l apps from the play store(you can look up how on the net). One of the apps I use all the time would not work on this one correctly I'm guessing due to the slight differences in OS. The unit itself is good, but kind of disappointed Amazon locks out the Play store and does not make it more compatible.
