4K + BLURAY STEELBOOK is worth a STAB...

This review is for the SCREAM (2022) 4K UHD + BLU-RAY + DIGITAL Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook.
The Film: The fifth entry in the popular "SCREAM" franchise takes place 25 years after the original murders in Woodsboro ("Scream - 1996") and is the first to be helmed by new directors since the passing of the late great Wes Craven. This newest entry sets up the "passing of the torch," so to speak, allowing new generation horror fans to appreciate the same and new bloodline of a film that truly was a pop culture phenomenon of the 90's. The movie does well with making fun of itself...calling itself a "requel" - a mix of a "remake" and "sequel". Franchise legends David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox return as Dewey, Sidney & Gale and do a phenomenal job for the short screen time they have (unfortunately), and the new kids are good. Maybe I'm just showing my age here, but these kids don't seem to share the same passion as the OG groups from SCREAM 1, 2 or even 3. But, it works. To me, it felt about as good as a "SCREAM 5" would've been...and maybe that's what it should've been titled. Worth buying? Yes... especially if you're a horror fan.
The Steelbook: The steelbook art is awesome, featuring the original teaser poster art of "Scream" (2022). Nice matte-looking reflecting finish with Ghostface's mask front and center, arming himself with the classic Buck 120 knife with a light red stain at the bottom. The back features the UK teaser art, showcasing Ghostface in front of an atmospheric bright light which surrounds him making his very iconic 'Im about to come for you" pose. Inside we have character poses, used with the marketing campaign, each holding the mask in front of, or below, or to the side. Very cool artwork. Included is the 4K UHD, regular Blu-Ray and 4K Digital code, redeemable at VUDU or iTunes. **Worth noting: I noticed that regular retail packages had either one or the other as far as format. Not good on Paramount's part... that's another reason why this steelbook was cool, as it has both the 4K disc and Blu-Ray disc. Regular packages only had single discs...4K or Blu-Ray or DVD. Blu-Rays come with HD Digital codes, 4Ks come with UHD digital codes. For the price tag, you should get both imo. Other than that, I recommend "SCREAM" (2022), especially that steelbook.

"Open 24 Hours" on Blu-ray was actually pretty good. Loaded with genuine scares, above-average acting and decent story, I found myself impressed quite a few times. The ending may leave some desiring more, but the script is solid and the film is done with attention to detail. Recommended.
