It's rare that animated movies in 4k would boast significantly more details over there standard Blu-Ray counterparts, but this one looks sharper and is really about its HDR capabilities. There are some stand out scenes where colors really pop off the screen. If you are already familiar with this movie then you already know that the colors throughout the film can have a muted tone or lack of vibrant colors, so when colors are there to be seen, this is where this 4k transfer really shines. The story itself is one of the best in anime, a true classic.
If you purchase the steelbook, this is one of the best steelbook packaging I own. The translucent slip cover with major Motoko Kusanagi in her skin and underneath on the steelbook itself is her endoskeleton the two images merge when the slip cover is on the steelbook. Beautiful art and design.
Sound is a little flat, maybe a slight, very slight improvement over the standard disc.

I love steelbooks, I really like the outside design of this steelbook. It has a book look to it which is nice so the design and the cover art is reminiscent of the game itself, that's a nice touch.
My gripe with this case is that the image on the front would have stood out more if the decal would have been shiny against the flat background. Also, there is no art on the inside of the case which is a missed opportunity in my opinion.

While it is definitely a drastic change from the old zombies formula that started the series in the first place and plays alot like Resident Evil 7 but has a RE4 feel mixed in...they still managed to make RE Village feel fresh and similar at the same time. And oh man, the graphics are amazing, definitely the best looking Resident Evil to date.
As someone who has completed the game and in hindsight of that...and without giving away spoilers,
I would recommend Village to someone who doesnt mind big changes to the Resident Evil story, It almost entirely stands on its own and loosely ties in with other RE titles, with that said..this new fresh experience is worth experiencing for yourself with an open mind.

I love the way tvis player plays my 4k movies, they look better then theyve ever looked compared to my other 4k players, i have an oled tv and this player compliments it very well! My only gripe is its apps and apps support this feels like an after thought on this player. Options for app are very, very limited here. But if you want a blu ray player that offers superior picture quality with robust picture and sound options, look no further!

This is a subwoofer that can shake and rattle walls in your home. Its got punchy hard hitting bass, my only complaint is that the subwoofer itslef can vibrate and cause the bass to not sound as clean as it could sound. I noticed fhis when checking out a couple 4k movies with Dolby atmos tracks. Again, this is probably a testament to how much bass this sub can actually produce.

Dawn of the planet of the apes comes to you in spectacular 4k with a bonus bluray disc and digital code. There are some instances where shadow detail can get lost a little bit since the majority of the movie tends to lean heavily on its cold blue and dark gray tones against areas with deep pitch black shadow. Because of this I would recommend watching this movie in a pitch black setting to get the most out of its hdr10 presentation. With that said, it has really nice detail uptick in many areas of the movie over the standard blu ray which is nice as this movie was shot digitally and was upscaled from a 2k intermediate. Also, what would pretty visuals be without a story to go with it, Dawn of the planet of the apes delivers here.

These are very reliable well built cables and at a reasonable price, If you have an UHD HDR capable TV, you'll want to get these cables to ensure you get the best picture quality from your TV. I had some older Hdmi cables they were high speed cables as well but I feel like there was a notice difference in picture quality and performance once I switched over to these cables. Happy I did.

The game is good so far but Best Buy has really dropped the ball on this one, I guess my real issue is with Best Buy and how they handled my pre order for this game which I pre ordered since February 7th.
Anyone who preordered this game online was aware that the order would include the following pre order bonuses: RIP and tear pack and a digital copy of Doom 64 both in the form of digital codes. However, myself and others never recieved either digital bonus. What's worse is how this is being handled by BestBuy. I have already been checking my emails and spam as it says on their website.
I contact Bestbuy by phone and waited three hours to talk to someone, I try to explain my issue and the agent never asks me for information, but he says that hes going to look at my account and quickly puts me on hold, where I wait another 15-20 minutes only to be greeted by a new agent who didn't understand that I was supposed to be receiving both the rip and tear pack and doom 64, she told me that I would only be entitled to one. The problem is that she told me that she would make note and report this to a "code master" but to keep checking my email; which I've been doing. It's been several days and no resolution to report. I cant chat with anyone on BestBuys website because it just keeps disconnecting me as soon as I put in my name and email and tells me to refresh and start again. There's a mix of people claiming that they have recieved theirs but alot who havent-noted on bestbuys own forums, there's even people who have not even recieved their game. Either way, its frustrating. I'm not asking for much..I'm simply asking to recieve what I paid for in its entirety. Is that too much to ask?? Since I couldn't really post this on Best buys forums it's why i posted this here, i would love some help with this situation..it would be appreciated.

Update a fix to my review

In my review I mentioned that I had not recieved my digital pre order bonus for Doom eternal. Well apparently, the code was actually sent out to me via an older email, so basically...if you have other emails that may have been tied to your Best Buy account at some point, it's a possibility that you may have recieved it in one of those emails. Hope this helps others who may have the same issue.

Is there still any way to order this item?
You should technically still be able to order it. Depending on where you live, you may still be able to even pick it up in store...I would check your nearest stores inventory. But it definitely still says that you can order it and have it shipped to you as of today thursday July 27th.

Will it display closed-captions....because most blu-ray players do not display them from disc. Mostly dvd players do.

ect while a movie is playing. There is also a CC button on the remote, this gives you a range of other Close caption options. So to answer your question plain and simple, yes it does.
