Great follow to the first movie which was also terrific. All the characters are believable, even the baby. The deaf girl does a great job, believably frightened but capable nonetheless. Emily Blunt is wonderful. Her spouse is in the movie briefly also is good. Scary, lots of tension, even on repeat viewings.

How can Emily Blunt and the Rock make a bad movie? See this one. Terrible story, terrible acting from Rock, even EB couldn't save this one. Not even worth a rental.

Best following story since the first movie. The plot pushed my understanding of the mythos of the series way past my taste. But the acting was good, it was nice to "see" Harold Ramis again. And options for yet another sequel were established. Mostly fun. I've watched it several times.

Too many unbelievable set action pieces that were outrageously impossible to tolerate. Kind of fun, reminiscent of other treasure hunting stories, but over the top too much. Might be worth a rental.
Kenneth Branagh takes a stylish second pass as director and star in this lavish all-star take on the classic Agatha Christie whodunit, as an Egyptian vacation for Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh) turns into a working holiday-and the steamship-set slaying of a newlywed heiress (Gal Gadot) confronts him with no shortage of possible suspects. Despite the bunch of good actors, and Agatha's story, I found this really boring. Could not keep my attention. Fell asleep several times trying to get into the story and I was not sleepy. As actors I like the entire crew. But it just didn't work. The BritBox version is much better, and David Suchet is marvelous. This is not the DOTN that ended his Poirot series, but a separate one, better even than the ending show.
As 7-year-old adoptee Wen (Kristen Cui) enjoyed a getaway at a rural Pennsylvania cabin with her dads (Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge), their idyll was interrupted by the break-in of four armed intruders. The understandable fear would escalate as the strangers insisted that the whole planet faced imminent apocalypse... that could only be halted if the family sacrificed one of their own. M. Night Shyamalan's unnerving opus co-stars Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Great story until the end. Acting done very well. Seemed like a filmed play rather than a movie. Ending just didn't seem to fit, like the author couldn't come up with a better ending. Nonetheless I enjoyed the movie. A good rental, not sure about purchasing it.
Baz Luhrmann's expectedly electric biopic of the King of Rock 'n' Roll offers an arresting central performance by Austin Butler, as the peaks and valleys of Elvis Presley's performing career are recounted through the deathbed reflections of ex-manager Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks), the Southern Svengali who cannily trained the Tupelo youngster's charismatic gifts on the American public-and just as ruthlessly exploited them. Olivia DeJonge, Richard Roxburgh, Helen Thomson also star. 159 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

Very well done, character became Elvis, much the same way as Freddie Mercury was played. Interesting story. Can't stand Tom Hanks, so nothing to say about him.
The fourth chapter in the hugely successful and acclaimed action film series finds assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) gunning (quite literally) for the global crime consortium, the High Table. The end of the series. Well-done, unbelievable amount of action. The story kind of hangs together with what we know of the bad guys from the prior stories. KR was very good as was Donnie Yen.

Interesting story. Star seemed out of it a lot, was this his acting, or was he out of it? Special effects seemed lifted out of Jurassic World. The character of the ilttle girl is inherently unbelievable.
