It's definitely a few steps below the first two but it's got its moments. Good for those who are into completing their MCU collections or who like weird, trippy sci-fi films.
The fourth chapter in the hugely successful and acclaimed action film series finds assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) gunning (quite literally) for the global crime consortium, the High Table. A must own for anyone who's a fan of John Wick or action movies in general. For a film that's nearly 3 hours, it flies right by with some of the best action/stunt sequences you'll ever see. If this is indeed the last film in the series, it wraps up the story with a rather satisfying conclusion.

Christopher Nolan's groundbreaking Dark Knight Trilogy is featured in this special edition release. Nolan's dark, gritty portrayal of Bruce Wayne's transition into Batman and his struggles as Gotham's superhero set the precedent for modern superhero films. With minimal usage of CGI and a focus on character driven narratives, the three Christian Bale-led films were both critical and box office successes. The three entries - Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - are included in this collector's edition, as well as commentary and behind the scenes bonus content.

For a sequel released 36 years after the original, Top Gun: Maverick has no business being as good as it is but somehow it manages to beat Top Gun in just about every way. It's no wonder it's been nominated for so many top awards, even Oscars. The flight sequences are probably the best you'll ever see on film. The visual effects are nearly seamless with the actual flying they did to film the movie. The cinematography is gorgeous and pops in every scene. The music and score fit right in with the original but without feeling dated or like cheap copies. The story, while simple and somewhat derivative of first film, packs an emotional punch and keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire 2+ hour runtime.
You can tell Tom Cruise put everything he could into this film because it's probably one of his best acting jobs in years. Every cast member sells their role well, especially Miles Teller, Glenn Powell and Jennifer Connelly. Even Val Kilmer, in the one scene he's in, gives one of the most emotional scenes in the entire film.
I'd suggest getting both this and the original and watching them together because they really work nicely together.
The Marvel hero's outrageous fourth solo adventure finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) understandably surprised when cancer-battling ex Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) reenters his life, armed with his beloved hammer Mj~lnir and imbued with the powers of the Thunder God himself. As the ruthless Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) begins destroying all of the universe's deities, can Thor, Jane, and pals Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Korg (a motion-captured Taika Waititi) defeat him? 118 min. Thor: Love and Thunder is for the most part fun and entertaining, but it really could have been so much better, namely if they'd used/showed more of Bale's Gorr and Jane's cancer storyline and not wasted the GOTG in the beginning. The film sort of meanders through the first half but finds it's footing in the second half. The film needed another 10-15 minutes to add some more connective tissue that was clearly missing after the rewrites/reshoots. It also needed someone to reign in some of Taika's worst tendencies. The comedy is sometimes hit-or-miss but the action is great once it gets going. It does set up an interesting future for Thor and several of the other characters. I do wish Marvel would start adding more extras to their physical releases. It's still a worthy addition for those who are big MCU fans and/or completionists.
Sorcerer Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) agreed to defend dimension-hopping teen America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) from an unknown entity looking to exploit her powers. Will he be challenged on his sundry time/space tampering by the mysterious council called the Illuminati... and will he regret turning to disgraced Avenger Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) for backup? Shock- and cameo-laden Marvel sequel co-stars Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams; Sam Raimi directs. 126 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

It's another solid addition to the MCU that really could have been much more. Raimi adds his usual horror flair but it's easy to see where much of the film was reworked/rewritten. Cumberbatch is great as usual as Doctor Strange and the concepts they introduce would have been so much better had they let certain scenes/ideas breath more than they did. It certainly helps to watch WandaVision beforehand because it can get rather confusing, especially when it comes to the motivations and actions of Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda. The ending sets the stage for some interesting storylines in any number of future MCU projects in Phase 5 and 6.
Seven millennia ago, beings from space placed them among us... and their names passed into legend as they safeguarded mankind from the genetic offshoot Deviants. A triggering event has given the long-dormant Deviants the means toward global destruction-and incentive for Ikaris (Richard Madden), Thena (Angelina Jolie), Ajak (Salma Hayek) and the rest of their cosmic-powered clan to step forward after centuries. Chloe Zhao's visually stunning take on Jack Kirby's Marvel mythos co-stars Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani. 157 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

It's probably the MCU's weakest film they've ever done but it still somewhat decent in certain aspects. It's one of the best-looking films they've ever done, there are some good characters and thought-provoking ideas, and it sets up some interesting potential avenues in future MCU films. I do feel myself liking it the more I see it though.
