think about the elder scroll online but worst
on November 22, 2018

Fallout 76 did the same approach as once the elder scroll did few years ago, no one asked for it but here we are, they deliver a game that feels in alpha stage, mixed ideas, and no content, really we could think about this as a game mode, I can't recommend this game in this state is more annoying than joy to play, you might find yourself wandering the first minutes something is gonna come up, sadly that's not the case. I feel bad for this serie, they are asking as much as a full fallout experience without put any effort, bugs are proof of that. I'll make you a favor forget about multiplayer or coop this game is nothing like fallout 4 if you haven't play fallout 4 that's the game you should get.

this device as intended works flawlessly with 1080p tvs, those tvs smart hub are kind of laggy and they don't pack all the apps that amazon fire tv has to offer, it doesn't reach the wide appletv app selection ( itunes the big miss) most itunes purchased content are drm shareable with apps like amazon prime video and vudu , honestly for the price I paid there is not better device than this one.

Buy digital games they have discounts more often and bigger deals than physical disc, or get those indies that doesn't come in disc for a fair price, digital games are hardly shareable more like a family account so they can be convenient with relatives or buddies living apart just sign for share account, I buy both digital and disc I found digital more comfy but you have to make sure you own the account where you are redeeming these gift cards.

Excited for this new console from Sony. Since I am in the market for a new PS4 I am defiantly excited to hopefully get my hands on this new console. Thankful to see a console that has a bigger hard drive right out the box as well.

since this looks kind of scam preorder scheme where it's sold out before it can be purchase, I say skip this because I saw unboxing reporting the plastic is too bad it will scratch easily and annoying finger print magnet , so that console will look awful right after you take it to play

Better Than OG X1
By damc34 from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
I was hoping to notice a huge difference playing games on the X compared to my OG X1 ... The visuals are definitely better in all games I have tried so far. The part that hasn't impressed me is game load times. In particular fortnite. It takes just as long to boot up that game on the X ... Other than that the OS does run quicker. I can move from menu to menu way faster. Now I just need to buy a TV with true hdr 10 to get the best looking version of my games

The loading times in fortnite are game related I tried on ssd having almost the same loading time, on PC fortnites takes more time than many games as well if you compare it against cod blackout which is a blink compare to fornite you should stop supporting their digital store because time is more valuable than money and sure they don’t respect you time

Expensive Mediocre Gaming/Portable Headset
By MooseAMoose from Elkridge, MD
My son purchased this gaming headset based upon its bluetooth capabilities. It works fine for an iPhone and is comfortable to wear. It pairs with a PC but his friends say the mic sounds muffled. Also, he could not hear everything during a Fortnight game. Lastly, it will not pair with a PS4 Pro. All in all, this is a wired gaming headset that can be used with your phone when you are out and about using bluetooth.

Bluetooth is the one to blame for it
November 25, 2018
I could do a trick with my tv that support sound over bluetooth and pair any bluetooth headset then use my console using tv sound, the bad is bluetooth sound technology has latency, if that doesn't bother maybe a in a quiet game that won't matter but you can't match the sound with what you see in the screen accurately for games that require it, that's why most wireless gaming headset uses radio frequency instead of bluetooth, hyperx made this headphone to mix the alpha cloud quality with a bluetooth receiver and battery for those folks that want to use them for watch movies and listen to music. That would be the same if you buy Bose quietcomfort, until bluetooth evolves to get low latency is when console will pair with that type of headphones.

Well, Hello Beautiful!
By Horizon from Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I purchased this TV on a busy Black Friday evening. For the longest time, I had my heart set on one of the Samsung QLED’s, I am Samsung fan for most of their technologies. I knew this was going to be more of an investment for me. This would be a TV I would have for a long time considering my finances and the last time I bought a TV was maybe 2010; time for an upgrade.
After doing more research than my Master’s degree thesis, I decided to take a deep dive into the LG world; I never gave them a chance before. I came across the LG SK9000 and I was really happy with what I saw and I took many trips to Best Buy talking with sales associates to dissect it as much as we could. I want everyone to read this next sentence very carefully: There is no such thing as a PERFECT TV. Hear me out. Just how there are no perfect people, there is no perfect TV. There is the good and the bad with everything and I highly, highly, recommend everyone to do your homework and take trips to the store and see things for yourself. It doesn’t matter if you are in the market for a TV, kitchen appliance, whatever.
I was at a point where I just said, enough is enough with the research, time to commit! I went in Black Friday evening, and talked to one of the sales associates named, Mitch. It is time to put this gentleman in the spot light simply because he earned it. Even though Black Friday was in full force by now, Mitch was grounded, extremely knowledgeable, collective and seemed ready for anything. I told him I would like the LG SK9000 which he had to call the warehouse to get because they ran out on the floor. No problem. In the meantime we talked about the TV, and I could tell he was not BS’ing me. Everything we discussed in that short amount of time, Full Array Local Dimming, the 4K picture, the Remote, the User Interface, etc. Alright, time to bring up other TV companies other than LG. What Mitch did that I thought was really great was he gave straight FACTS and he let me decide on what was best for me. He didn’t necessarily push me one way or the other and did not talk negative about other products or companies, again he gave straight FACTS and he compared the TV’s I said on the spot; that’ pretty impressive. He also never let me out of his sight until I got the TV. All of this puts him in the distinguished category. I walked away with a new 4K Blu-Ray player as well.
I brought the TV home and Hello Beautiful! The setup was very easy, the picture is SPECTACULAR. I popped in Avengers Infinity War (4K UHD) and was beyond impressed! Very, very bright and sleek design! When that UHD kicked in, I couldn’t tell if Robert Downey Jr was on the TV or standing right in front of me. The Full Array Local Dimming is awesome and I understand what others are saying about the black levels in regards to some black’s look like gray. Yes and no to that comment. The black levels look fine to me. You have to remember it is still an LCD panel and not an OLED. With OLED the black levels are amazing. You can play around with settings and I feel after doing this, you can achieve whatever look you have in mind. It is not always going to be perfect out of the box. I remember seeing comments about the stand for the TV. I don’t have a problem with it at all. I think it’s sleek and I don’t have anything negative to say about the stand. Listen, if you have something negative to say about a stand for a TV, I am worried about you.
I thought the audio, Dolby Atmos was great! Although I don’t necessarily think a sound bar is %100 necessary, I bought one anyway the following day and that was a Samsung product. My advice: If it is in your budget, go for it. If a sound bar is it not in your budget, do not worry about it.
In regards to refresh rate, the motion and transition between scenes and pictures is very, very smooth. The action scenes in Avengers were super fun to watch for this very reason. 120 refresh rate is pretty much the standard anymore and I wouldn’t get too hung up on refresh rate. All companies have their own proprietary technology to enhance refresh rate and I would advise to look at what other features come along with refresh rate. i.e. Full Array Local Dimming. Reliable sources on the internet prefer this TV over other more expensive TV’s from other companies.
At the end of the day, this TV is a keeper! I will have this for a very long time and I am looking forward to movie nights, sport watching, 4K content, and much more! If you are looking for a very solid (I mean very solid) TV without spending thousands of dollars for say an OLED TV, I honestly wouldn’t think twice. Get the TV and you know what, take it back if you don’t like it. I highly doubt that will happen though!

good choice
November 30, 2018
I have to say the main differences between samsungs qled and lgs are the type of panel I can tell LG is the main developer of IPS which are one the greates panel after OLED with the only cons on blacks, but their colors are richer and more pop feeling than VA which are the samsungs of course qled are extremely well overclocked VA panels to deliver color quality as IPS but they simply doesn't look the same and their response time are usually lower not bad but I feel like they still behind IPS, just look at apple most of their displays are IPS with the add of dci p3, I would rather have one of these LG as monitor cuz they have high quality IPS panels rather than their monitors, only if they have a 43" that would be perfect for me.

What you need is pair it with an external gpu enclosure or egpu, honestly I don’t know why apple keeps using intel graphics only because the quicksync that works for few apps like video editing, if you pair this with an amd gpu it will blow away any macbook pro but you may end paying around extra $700 for that kind of solution the easiest way is to get the davinci egpu

Great Monitor

Read or watch any review of the LG 27GL850 and you'll find that this is the best IPS, 1440p, 27" gaming monitor around. This is the same monitor without the USB hub. If you want a GL850 but can't find one, or just want to save 50 bucks, this is the next best thing.

Good but I would recommend WD850 if available.
By Mars770
Works with PS5 but only registered 5500 MBs read speed during setup. I replaced the drive with a WD 850 and the WD registered 6500 MBs. Honestly I didn’t see any performance issues with the 980. The drive worked flawlessly with all my PS5 games even out performing the system SSD. However, the 5500 MBs rating concerned me so I made the switch. So if you have the extra money and it’s available buy the WD 850. If not, the Samsung 980 pro is a great drive and I would recommend it!

playstation self benchmark isn't accurate
September 14, 2021
did you try few times the same benchmark? playstation benchmarks are inaccurate every test gives a different result, that's why you might thought the ssd was lowered speed when it's not, samsung ssd maybe doesn't reach the highest speeds but they are the best sustained speeds after the cache is full, most ssd have drastic slowdowns after few seconds of working due this, but I'll ignore that playstation benchmark anyway the sn850 is about the same performance than samsung 980, only con I found with western digital ssd is they consume more power while idle for no reason.

OLED at the top of its game. From the big game to being in the game, no detail goes unseen. With advanced gaming technology like NVIDIA G-SYNC, you'll crush the competition. Best Display I've ever owned
By SatisfiedCustomer
I bought this tv to use as a monitor for PC gaming. I was on the fence about it for the longest time because of the size, but I could not be happier. This display is truly the best I have ever owned.
It is one thing to hear about OLED and see it on display, but you won't understand how incredible it actually is until you put your content on it and see how it enhances your viewing experience.
Picture quality in unmatched with deep, dark blacks, HDR looks great, colors pop, the glossy screen is so clear it's like I'm looking through glass into another world.
Something I was not expecting was just how smooth the tv feels. I came from a 144hz monitor, so I thought I knew what smooth was, but as it turns out, I was living a lie until I found this. This is truly low input lag, great silky smooth motion.
I also wasn't expecting to like the remote or UI of the TV as much as I do. My other TVs are Sony, and this honestly just blows everything else out of the water, and they very competitively priced.
Because it is OLED, you will have to watch out for burn in, but I haven't taken any extreme measures to prevent it with normal usage, and I'm going on a month with no issues yet. So long as you're aware that it's something that could happen, so you turn the tv off when you're not using it, and try to limit how long static content is displayed (such as a task bar, or HUD) you should be okay.
I was also worried about it not being bright enough for a bright room, but I haven't really found reflections to be that distracting. Yeah, it's probably better for dark rooms, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the incredible picture quality this thing offers.
Take the plunge, get OLED, get LG. I cannot recommend this TV highly enough

good thing
October 28, 2021
the motion you see now is more snappier due the fast pixel response times, also high end tvs handle motion way better, compared to your 144hz monitor experience yes it does look better, you can push it even further with black frame insertion and we are talking crt speeds territories but honestly on default it's already killing it. Glad you are able to experience a better display picture :D

A GREAT laptop with a BAD price tag
By BrianH
The laptop itself is a great laptop. But after tax, your looking at a compact set up that unfortunately performs about as good as a 5070 desktop or equivalent.
The BIGGEST problem however is the cooling on this laptop. It's good for about 3 weeks to a month. But shortly after, thermal throttle is present as soon as ANY program intensive work is conducted on it.
Purchased this laptop for work and gaming, but I have pretty much given up on the idea that portable gaming is a thing.
It's never the GPU that overheats or thermal throttles either. It's always the CPU. And during work loads and 3D drawings, it began faulting and rebooting at least on nce or twice a day.
Darn Shame as it truly is a nice laptop. But for nearly $3K, you may be better off just buying a cheap work laptop and utilize a eGPU to play games with it at that point, because the performance and price are better and cheaper.

if you haven't returned it, I will recommend trying silent mode and having Nvidia GPU only active when plugged to power wall. there is also G-Helper which has good reputation on doing a better job than Asus own software. I had similar experience with this laptop in a much less powerful GPU and I concluded that they advertised performance modes to hit high score benchmarks etc. but like you, in a sustained workload or after a while it starts to break down because physically is hard to keep these overclock modes running comfortably, also lifting the laptop helps but I found silent mode cutting the unnecessary power to both GPU and CPU a one click solution with a much silent operation, which I feel safe using for hours without getting a crash from overheating. I think that's how these components can breath and work comfortably but the unnecessary performance modes are just a marketing thing that hurts the laptop in the long run
