Great upgrade of a classic.

I've had the special edition DVD for years, and finally upgraded to the SP Blu Ray so I could introduce my son to this sci fi/horror classic. It was worth the upgrade. The picture is terrific, and the special features (those that carried over and the new ones) make this worth getting. More discs now have fewer special features, but this is loaded. The movie is terrific, and is a cool take on the classic 50s movie which was one of Carpenter's favorites. You can tell he loves the story, and that he took the time to carefully craft a new version of it true to the original. Story telling through movies just isn't the same now.

Fun, old fashioned film.

Despite the age difference, it's a fun movie starring two of the best in the business. It's great how Hepburn's character plays Cooper's playboy, it's a fun story and the acting in it is really good. I hadn't seen it in years, and I'm not much of a romantic comedy guy, but I remembered that I really enjoyed it years ago and I found I still do. The film looks great on this blu ray, but there's only a trailer for supplemental material which is disappointing. Good stuff.

Great historic war film.

Great depiction of an important battle in what is really the forgotten war. For the time, it shows some grit and hardships of what soldiers faced. I wish there had been some supplemental material, but the picture is great and it's a good movie about the Korean War and there aren't many.

This film got a lot of hate because of the star's problems (Miller) and simply because it's a DC superhero film. Every DC film has been overly criticized. It's actually a pretty good movie. One of Miller's characters is pretty good (watch and you'll understand), and then Batman and Supergirl are really terrific. I'd like to see what would have happened if this had been made/released on time and especially before the announcement of a DC revamp. The film looks great on 4K, the steelbook is cool, and the extras are very interesting. I'm disappointed that they didn't release all of the cut scenes, maybe because of all the tinkering done to it, which is why I knocked it down to 3 stars. Other than that, and the bad CGI in parts (most of it when he's in the speed force which is an effect the director wanted but it doesn't work well), it's good movie and an inventive way to do the Flashpoint story. Not nearly as good as the animated movie version, which was better than the comic series, but it's good.

Two good movies and one stinker, but get this one and you have almost all of Seagal's good movies. This was a good deal for 3 films, and they look pretty good on blu ray, but there are no extras on the discs. The DVDs don't either, but you'd think there would be something especially on Under Siege which was his biggest hit. I'd rank it as "Good" but none of these films deserves 4 stars, and Under Siege 2 is flat out horrible. If you like his early stuff, it's a deal.

Can you get Bally Sports, specifically Padres baseball games, with Roku without cable TV?
Roku is just a way to put apps and streaming services on a TV. You need to actually have a streaming service app that has those channels in order to watch the games. Look up who carries that and those are your choices. I did that to see Astros games-only DirectTv, DirectTV Stream, FuboTV and something else I can't remember what had them so those were my choices.
