This has to be one of my favorite films for 2019. Joaquin delivered one incredible performance and his oscar win was certainly well-deserved. I watched this one twice within 24 hours.

Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that, while not widescreen, does in fact mirror the director's original intentions for the film (he reportedly shot it so that the frame could be cropped without compromising the integrity of the image). English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a making-of documentary and a theatrical trailer.

Viewable in either the original 1.85:1 widescreen theatrical aspect ratio or standard 1.33:1 full-screen pan-and-scan, and featuring an English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack in addition to an alternate French Dolby Digital Stereo track, this release also features optional English, Spanish, and French subtitles. Extra features include star highlights, cast and crew bios, theatrical trailers, and a Hughes brothers interview.

Old school films are a must to own and watch so Menace is the best good film ever. They don't come any better than this.

Not sure why this oned idn't fare better or more people weren't talking about this one but I loved it and have bought several copies over the past few years. Araki's work has really matured and this might be one of his most stunning pieces. The ethereal music, cinematography, great acting makes White Bird in a Blizzard a keeper. I'd bathe in a film like this if it were humanly possible. Now I just have to wait for him to relinquish his next teen angst fueled masterpiece.

Dennis Hopper was a great actor and sometimes an even better director. Although I think he had some great ideas here, this may not have been his crowning achievement. Hopper faired better with Easy Rider or David Lynch's Blue Velvet. Nevertheless, this is still fantastic work by a man who is truly missed. Would I recommend it to friends and movie buffs? Probably. .

That's right. This is, quite simply, the best metal album ever and it only gets better with age. I even have a song of theirs as ringtone.
