Possibly my favorite Xmas movie in 4K steelbook

My only quibble with this release is that I wish the first two Home Alones were packaged in a single steelbook. The video and audio quality are astonishing, as we've come to expect with 4K releases. The film is a time-tested classic, humorous, entertaining and heartwarming in the spirit of the season. Pesci in particular is great in one of his comedy roles. The steelbook is a wonderful keepsake.

I liked the previous ATV model, but the remote was not as easy to control. This new one has a few upgraded features as well as a new remote with easier control, better button placement and tactile feel. I like the contrast of the remote better, too--black buttons against a chrome body. Been using it for many months and the button marks show no sign of wearing off. Of course, the best functionality of the ATV is streaming and the quality will depend on your internet service more than anything.

Another solid entry in the MCU line, the film follows Natasha and her adoptive family from childhood to after her involvement with the Avengers, when she must face the enemy who sought to control her life. The steelbook offers a sturdy, well-designed keepsake to enjoy the movie.

As good as the streaming audio and video were, the 4K has greater clarity and definition. This film is an instant classic, more than the sum of its parts, capturing some of the feeling of the book. I preordered this steelbook months in advance, knowing it would sell out quickly. I'm sorry others were too late, but rating this fantastic 4K achievement below what it deserves is just wrong. And it deserves the highest rating possible. A fantastic achievement! Thankfully, Best Buy shipped it in a large, oversized cardboard box instead of the usual plastic sleeve, so it arrived in mint condition with no dents or dings. Beautiful artwork. Can't wait for part 2 in 2023.

Aside from being a great movie about childhood friendship, the 4K steelbook release provides excellent picture, sound, and a case you can treasure as a keepsake. Don't get the cheap plastic case version. This is the one you want. An instant Pixar classic with phenomenal animation, and a great soundtrack of American-inspired Italian music.

Ruined other action films for me

The John Wick trilogy has ruined me for action movies. The emphasis on hand-to-hand combat and accurate ammo fidelity shows how silly other films are that rely on cut-sequences, shaky cam and bad editing to make up for poorly produced action scenes. In Wick, you get top notch martial arts choreography, and none of the "unlimited ammo" violence of most superhero movies. The films are the perfect vehicle for Keanu Reeves, who is not the most accomplished actor, but has a talent for his own fighting and driving stunts. He doesn't try to do anything too mindblowing, but stays in the lane to make these movies something special. Hard to watch other action films after seeing this. The video and audio quality are top notch as well and the 4K steelbook is a nice keepsake.

Great Movie but Why Feature Reznor/Ross in Score?

Being a fan of jazz music, a New Yorker by birth, a cat person, and a parent of a kid who loves cats and Pixar movies, Soul appeared to be the perfect confluence of subjects. We were very excited for its release and we were not disappointed. Soul takes the viewer on a trip through the physical and the metaphysical, from the IRT under New York up to the great beyond in the cosmos. Themes of life's purpose and meaning are handled both delicately and with humor. The film is indeed an exploration of Soul. The voice acting and animation were top notch as one might expect in a Pixar film.
My one complaint, as a jazz fan who feels strongly that "American classical music" is underappreciated by the public, is that Soul missed an opportunity to make jazz a more unified part of the film. I won't deduct a point for this, but jazz is extremely diverse and the filmmakers featured non-jazz atmospheric music for much of the soundtrack. I believe they should have selected from the array of atmospheric jazz that would have provided a more authentic feel rather than resort to Reznor and Ross (who I always considered relatively "soul-less" even though they do make some important music for movies such as The Social Network. Even some of the main character's playing shied away from real jazz to favor more atmospheric triplets with muted variation or texture. I understood this was to make the sounds more harmonically palatable to an audience that may not appreciate jazz, but it felt like a let-down and opportunity missed to me. Still, there were plenty of uptempo jazz tunes as well as ballads to enjoy. So I can't complain too much.

A highly stylized take on Persia's invasion of Greece, 300 popularized Zack Snyder's blood splatter effects. Gerald Butler does a great job in his lead role as Spartan king Leonides. The picture in 4K is an enormous improvement over the blu-ray version. Recommended as a great 4K disc and worthy story of standing against tyranny.

Boyz 'N the Hood has withstood the test of time, and held up well as a critically acclaimed coming-of-age story in East LA. Along with some of Spike Lee's films, it helped define a new genre in American cinema. This 4K release looks and sounds fantastic in UltraHD, and the steelbook packaging stands up better than the typical cheap plastic. Highly recommended.

Jake and Elwood now in 4K

It was great fun to rewatch Blues Brothers in 4K. It's a low-budget film, but looks fantastic in UltraHD. The packaging in the sturdy steelbook case is a great upgrade as well, although the artwork is a bit silly. For fans of the movie, this is the definitive version.

This is a bit upsetting as there was no way to know this until you open the case and try to redeem the digital download code.
John Wick 1 and 2 are only able to activated on Vudu, I wanted these to be activated on Apple TV(iTunes Movies) instead.
John Wick 3 was able to be activated on Apple TV. So now this bundle is split across 2 different streaming providers.
There really needs to be a disclaimer stating what streaming providers are supported!
Would love to return this, however the package has been opened, and now I am no longer able to.

Yes, everyone knows Vudu sucks and that some titles from some distributors force you to use Vudu for the digital copy. But you bought a Steelbook version of these films presumably to play the 4K discs, and you didn't review those whatsoever.
